Bilaspur Smart City Talk

As per the guidelines issued by the Ministry of Urban Development for smart city challenge, the third Stakeholder/Citizen consultation meeting is being organized by Bilaspur Municipal Corporation on 1/11/2015. The meeting will start at 4:00pm at Lal Bahadur Shastri School, Dikshit Sabha Bhavan.

Discussion on the options of Pan city and Area Development projects will be carried out during the talk show.

The meeting will be headed by Member of Parliament (C.G.) Mr. Lakhan Lal Sahu, in the presence of Mayor Bilaspur Mr. Kishor Rai, Municipal Commissioner Mrs. Ranu Sahu. Members of Laghu Udyog Sangh, Merchant Association, Chamber of Commerce, Rotary Club and Lions Club will also be present in the talk show.

n my view following facilities are important . 1) public toilets 2) open space (green land with trees) 3)Drinking water (filtered) 4) shared net facility with library 5) Good maintained road with transport facilities. 6) bank with ATM facility

Open unused govt land should be converted into green belts. Trees which grow faster and big should be planted, such as peepal, gulmohar, etc

I think for smart city energy is a big concern.Since now a lot of new buildings would come up, I feel most of those buildings should have solar panels installed to make the city energy sufficient or maybe even surplus.Moreover Led bulbs could be used.

City to harvest rainwater properly to cobtribute back to agriculture by increasing ground water level.

A Smart Electric Grid – Cities need secured and adequate energy supplies; energy affects the environment of a city and the cost of living. An electric grid that can communicate with buildings and is built on a variety of energy sources is more stable and efficient.

roadside strom water drainage with proper routing to ponds/lakes. & keeping the environmnet clean by anymeans

To become a smart city, first of all infrastructure should be developed that is roads, roads are very poor in this city and secondly water supply is also poor. First these issues should be solved and tourism infrastructure should be developed like transport service to historical places nearby.

City must have 24 hours Electricity, Must use solar street light, Underground electric connection system throughout city.
