Bilaspur Smart City Talk

As per the guidelines issued by the Ministry of Urban Development for smart city challenge, the third Stakeholder/Citizen consultation meeting is being organized by Bilaspur Municipal Corporation on 1/11/2015. The meeting will start at 4:00pm at Lal Bahadur Shastri School, Dikshit Sabha Bhavan.

Discussion on the options of Pan city and Area Development projects will be carried out during the talk show.

The meeting will be headed by Member of Parliament (C.G.) Mr. Lakhan Lal Sahu, in the presence of Mayor Bilaspur Mr. Kishor Rai, Municipal Commissioner Mrs. Ranu Sahu. Members of Laghu Udyog Sangh, Merchant Association, Chamber of Commerce, Rotary Club and Lions Club will also be present in the talk show.

"Water & Electricity at each door step. 2) "Water harvesting" by every citizen to increase water level - A MUST FOR EVERY Bilaspurians. 3) "Cleaning our ward" by all citizens in every ward on every sunday. 4) "Plantation" at every street in all 100 wards. 5) Usage of "Solar Energy" 6) Cleaning of all "gatter" at regular interval 7) Medical/"Emergency lane" on every highway. 8) Cleaning campaign at every school/college for 1 hour in every week.

The city need a clean and hygienic bus stand. Current location is very distrubing and poor in construction . District have many tourist destinations which should be maintained well . All the roads must be connected well along traffic signals. Lot of problems with street dogs. Law and order should be maintained well.

For any city to be smart there is need of smart waste management...as we all have experienced that in indian railways coaches it is written do not litter outside but at the same time there is no dustbin in the coaches ....so my suggestion is that in a smart city there should be dustbins alongside the ways and roads....not only that there should be some authority to manage those dustbins...

-Single portal/App which has links to all govt services -Rain water harvesting mandatory -Mechanized dump collection -Dust bins availability

to facilitate the bus passengers to get down/board the bus., buses need to go to parking space separately
