Bilaspur Smart City Talk

As per the guidelines issued by the Ministry of Urban Development for smart city challenge, the third Stakeholder/Citizen consultation meeting is being organized by Bilaspur Municipal Corporation on 1/11/2015. The meeting will start at 4:00pm at Lal Bahadur Shastri School, Dikshit Sabha Bhavan.

Discussion on the options of Pan city and Area Development projects will be carried out during the talk show.

The meeting will be headed by Member of Parliament (C.G.) Mr. Lakhan Lal Sahu, in the presence of Mayor Bilaspur Mr. Kishor Rai, Municipal Commissioner Mrs. Ranu Sahu. Members of Laghu Udyog Sangh, Merchant Association, Chamber of Commerce, Rotary Club and Lions Club will also be present in the talk show.

The Main road branches into smaller roads into the extensions. This Means there is only one road/one access to the extension A, another one to extension B. The road does not pass through A – B – C. So the extensions are spared the traffic congestion and the resultant problems. The TRANSPORT buses Should Ply very frequently, so that the People can move without vehicles.

The core infrastructure to bilaspur City would include: 1.adequate water supply, 2.assured electricity supply, 3.sanitation, including solid waste management, 4.efficient urban mobility and public transport, 5.affordable housing, especially for the poor, 6.robust IT connectivity and digitalization, 7.good governance, especially e-Governance and citizen participation, 8.sustainable environment,
