Bilaspur Smart City Talk

As per the guidelines issued by the Ministry of Urban Development for smart city challenge, the third Stakeholder/Citizen consultation meeting is being organized by Bilaspur Municipal Corporation on 1/11/2015. The meeting will start at 4:00pm at Lal Bahadur Shastri School, Dikshit Sabha Bhavan.

Discussion on the options of Pan city and Area Development projects will be carried out during the talk show.

The meeting will be headed by Member of Parliament (C.G.) Mr. Lakhan Lal Sahu, in the presence of Mayor Bilaspur Mr. Kishor Rai, Municipal Commissioner Mrs. Ranu Sahu. Members of Laghu Udyog Sangh, Merchant Association, Chamber of Commerce, Rotary Club and Lions Club will also be present in the talk show.

There should be compulsion of Tree(Green) plantation for each housing plan sanctioned. 1. Proper Garbage seggregation & recycling. 2. Periodical Health programmes. 3. Awareness of “Clean & Green” bilaspur in each areas

We would love to have a common knowledge sharing platform for Bilaspur, where residents can interact, share ideas and solutions for problems with each other and govt. officials regularly. We only get smarter when we share knowledge.

Few suggestions: - Transport - Better public transport and metro as a possibility - Transport - Better Pathways - Transport - Implement "car free days" by sections/zones - Water - Reduce water leakage - Water - Sewage treatment plants in apartment communities - Environment - Solar as backup energy source - Energy - Solar street lights

Smart city means security, maintenance, proper arrangement, traffic rules. The more it develops the better it is.

availability of jobs for everyone. making slum free city by giving home to everyone and afterwards they pay EMI as all have job.

Safe streets for everyone- any time/day/place Prompt garbage pick up Recycling facilities Composting facilities No red tape, simple, accessible government departments In other words, a city that has the eight key aspects that define a Smart City: smart governance, smart energy, smart building, smart mobility, smart infrastructure, smart technology, smart healthcare and smart citizens.

a proper treatment of waste is necessary making water harvesting compulsory a separate lane for public transport and underground channels of roads in high traffic pressure area. electric cable or landline cable should be underground. should be e-city as in all public place screen should be fitted so who not have pc can use it availability of jobs for everyone. making slum free city by giving home to everyone and afterwards they pay EMI as all have job.
