Bilaspur Smart City Talk

As per the guidelines issued by the Ministry of Urban Development for smart city challenge, the third Stakeholder/Citizen consultation meeting is being organized by Bilaspur Municipal Corporation on 1/11/2015. The meeting will start at 4:00pm at Lal Bahadur Shastri School, Dikshit Sabha Bhavan.

Discussion on the options of Pan city and Area Development projects will be carried out during the talk show.

The meeting will be headed by Member of Parliament (C.G.) Mr. Lakhan Lal Sahu, in the presence of Mayor Bilaspur Mr. Kishor Rai, Municipal Commissioner Mrs. Ranu Sahu. Members of Laghu Udyog Sangh, Merchant Association, Chamber of Commerce, Rotary Club and Lions Club will also be present in the talk show.

INformation and communications technology solutions have inevitably emerged as key tools required for the transformation. And given the complexity of urban governance in many cities, local projects that bridge new technologies and community voices will be especially important.

A city is not smart until it manages its waste well. Waste management process should be decentralised and locality based, quick and real time. It is surprising to note that 70% of waste is organic in nature & can be reprocessed before it becomes waste or, thereafter, can be recycled in a sustainable manner. We have invented a Green Waste Reprocessor machine which re‐process all green reject and converts it into valuable by‐products.

The Smart Cities initiative offers selected cities the opportunity to learn from innovations in other cities, as well as examine how to use available assets and resources more efficiently.

We would love to have a common knowledge sharing platform for Bilaspur, where residents can interact, share ideas and solutions for problems with each other and govt. officials regularly. We only get smarter when we share knowledge.

Make it compulsory for all builders to have solar power, and solar heating on their new constructions. also include waste water and sewage management by introducing zero waste from buildings. waste water for usage in green spaces.
