Bilaspur Smart City Talk

As per the guidelines issued by the Ministry of Urban Development for smart city challenge, the third Stakeholder/Citizen consultation meeting is being organized by Bilaspur Municipal Corporation on 1/11/2015. The meeting will start at 4:00pm at Lal Bahadur Shastri School, Dikshit Sabha Bhavan.

Discussion on the options of Pan city and Area Development projects will be carried out during the talk show.

The meeting will be headed by Member of Parliament (C.G.) Mr. Lakhan Lal Sahu, in the presence of Mayor Bilaspur Mr. Kishor Rai, Municipal Commissioner Mrs. Ranu Sahu. Members of Laghu Udyog Sangh, Merchant Association, Chamber of Commerce, Rotary Club and Lions Club will also be present in the talk show.

Govt should focus on; 1. Teach discipline to citizens as they are undisciplined, 2. tree plantation, as abad is having very less trees in the city. 3. Proper city planning for infrastructure.

Preventing Sand Mining & look for an alternate for house construction.Sand mining generates extra vehicle traffic, which negatively impairs the environment. Where access roads cross riparian areas, the local environment may be impacted.Sand mining also affects the adjoining groundwater system and the uses that local people make of the river.

As with residential waste, other biodegradable waste from commercial establishments can be processed by composting plants.

Strict enforcement of traffic laws with state of the art of the equipment including cameras, more and optimal allocation of patrol units. Traffic signals should be optimised and operated 24x7 for avoid any traffic congestion.
