Bilaspur Smart City Talk

As per the guidelines issued by the Ministry of Urban Development for smart city challenge, the third Stakeholder/Citizen consultation meeting is being organized by Bilaspur Municipal Corporation on 1/11/2015. The meeting will start at 4:00pm at Lal Bahadur Shastri School, Dikshit Sabha Bhavan.

Discussion on the options of Pan city and Area Development projects will be carried out during the talk show.

The meeting will be headed by Member of Parliament (C.G.) Mr. Lakhan Lal Sahu, in the presence of Mayor Bilaspur Mr. Kishor Rai, Municipal Commissioner Mrs. Ranu Sahu. Members of Laghu Udyog Sangh, Merchant Association, Chamber of Commerce, Rotary Club and Lions Club will also be present in the talk show.

MORE POLICE PATROLLING 1) security for women and senior citizen. 2) increase in employment as more police force will be needed.

Firstly the major problems of city-1) waste and sewage 1) water availibility problem during summer in specific areas (especially for tribals/poor) 2) lack of basic facility like power , food, house for tribals. Suggestions--1) provide basic facility to all by creating a team or help centre for illiterate people and conduct awareness program. 3) during summer the ground water level goes down very rapidly .this Is due to dumping of waste In ponds and lakes .also due to development of houses.

Ensure 24x7x365 power and water supply, regular cleaning of roads, garbage disposal, clean and hygienic hospitals & schools. Provide employment opportunities, create IT/Finance/Service oriented industries.

Start a Drive against Plastic Bags because we people are very much use-too to use plastic bags daily and throw it anywhere. Make a law if any one found giving plastic bags in any shop will be fined accordingly.

1.Ensure safety, and good public transport facilities. Private Auto/Bus/Rikshaw are not sufficient. 2.Encourage IT based services for providing better civil facilities.

Govt should focus on; 1. Teach discipline to citizens as they are undisciplined, 2. tree plantation, as abad is having very less trees in the city. 3. Proper city planning for infrastructure. 4. Neat & Clean Roads 5. Water supply as is always suffers from Drought. 6. Our leaders should be reviewed by PM for the progress.
