Bilaspur Smart City Talk

As per the guidelines issued by the Ministry of Urban Development for smart city challenge, the third Stakeholder/Citizen consultation meeting is being organized by Bilaspur Municipal Corporation on 1/11/2015. The meeting will start at 4:00pm at Lal Bahadur Shastri School, Dikshit Sabha Bhavan.

Discussion on the options of Pan city and Area Development projects will be carried out during the talk show.

The meeting will be headed by Member of Parliament (C.G.) Mr. Lakhan Lal Sahu, in the presence of Mayor Bilaspur Mr. Kishor Rai, Municipal Commissioner Mrs. Ranu Sahu. Members of Laghu Udyog Sangh, Merchant Association, Chamber of Commerce, Rotary Club and Lions Club will also be present in the talk show.

during summer the ground water level goes down very rapidly .this Is due to dumping of waste In ponds and lakes .also due to development of houses.

To become a smart city, first of all infrastructure should be developed that is roads, roads are very poor in this city and secondly water supply is also poor. First these issues should be solved and tourism infrastructure should be developed like transport service to historical places nearby.

Firstly the major problems of city-1) waste and sewage 2) water availibility problem during summer in specific areas (especially for tribals/poor) 3) lack of basic facility like power , food, house for tribals. Suggestions--1) provide basic facility to all by creating a team or help centre for illiterate people and conduct awareness program. 2) during summer the ground water level goes down very rapidly .this Is due to dumping of waste In ponds and lakes .also due to development of houses.

Provide Subsidy in Using solar energy and aware public who can afford using solar power for power use in houses

Ensure 24x7x365 power and water supply, regular cleaning of roads, garbage disposal, clean and hygienic hospitals & schools. Provide employment opportunities, create IT/Finance/Service oriented industries.

Security is a big concern in Bilaspur. More patrol cars especially during nighttime and prompt action from police in any emergency situation is a must.

Mandatory Roof Top Rainwater Harvesting in all building.By implementing rooftop rainwater harvesting through filter and direct use for house hold purpose. This will reduce burden on water resource of Corporation

1.Ensure safety, and good public transport facilities. Private Auto/Bus/Rikshaw are not sufficient. 2.Encourage IT based services for providing better civil facilities.

All the commercial vehicles for internal communications in Bilaspur should ideally be eco-friendly ones like electric cabs, green cabs, electronic rickshaws, etc.
