Balloons are released in massive numbers to commemorate special occasions .These balloons travel for thousands of miles till they burst or deflate.They drop down into the sea or on land .As these balloons litter the land and sea,they are mistaken as food and eaten by the animals.When an animal swallows these balloons,they block its intestinal tract ,leading to starvation and death of the animal.Countless innocent marine animals die each year as they eat the balloon waste confusing it for jelly
