Majority of women born in the 1980s in poor families got married at about 13 years of age and soon became mothers. Unfortunately, daughters are still considered by many poor families as burdensome and vulnerable in the social environment of crime against young girls. Their parents marry them off as soon as possible. In their haste, the parents often ignore age, habits or even character of the groom. Marriage means termination of education for those girls. Sadly, India still remains among nations with the highest number of girl-child marriages. The ICDS must be strengthened by the local administration under Central supervision to rigorously implement the mandated minimum age of marriage in tandem with welfare and safety provisions. Education for girls at least up to Higher Secondary level is the most potent factor in national transformation. India must succeed in this mission.

श्रीमान प्रधानमंत्री महोदय प्रणाम, मैं पिछले चार वर्ष से खाटूश्यामजी फाल्गुन मेले में श्रद्धालुओं को पर्यावरण संरक्षण का संदेश लिखे हुए जुट के कैरी बैग देकर उनको सिंगल यूज प्लास्टिक का इस्तेमाल नहीं करने व अपने घर पर किसी भी शुभ कार्य के आयोजन पर एक पौधा लगाकर उसको पेड़ बनाने की अपील करता हूं इस बार मैंने मैले में स्वच्छता को लेकर एक छोटा सा प्रयोग किया जिससे वहां की साफ सफाई में 60% तक की वृद्धि हुई। मैं मैले में एक भंडारा संचालक को बर्तन देखकर डिस्पोजल का उपयोग नहीं करने को कहा तो उन्होंने श्रद्धालुओं को बर्तनों में ही प्रसादी खिलाई जिससे उनके 20 - 22 हजार रुपए की बचत भी हुई क्योंकि इतने के डिस्पोजल आ जाते हैं और हर वर्ष से इस वर्ष साफ सफाई भी 60% तक की अधिक रही। इसके लिए मैं 8-10 अन्य भंडारा संचालकों को भी जागरूक किया तो उन्होंने मुझे अगले फाल्गुन मैले में डिस्पोजल का उपयोग नहीं करने का आश्वासन दिया। अगर इस प्रकार मेले में सभी भंडारा संचालक अगर डिस्पोजल का इस्तेमाल ना करें तो वहां की स्थानीय जनता को मैले के बाद में होने सफाई से संबंधित समस्या से बचाया जा सकता है।
