Sir,
Our country is, having a total area of 329 million hectares,(mha)out of which around 90 mha is a total waste land. Our country's program of "Integrated Wasteland Development Project" (IWDP) has been in operation since 2018,but no significant headway has been made in converting a wasteland into a cultivable land. Data of 05.11.19 shows, Rajasthan,Bihar, UP,MP, Mizoeam,J & K,West Bangal, collectively have made a +ve change, about 1.23 mha,ie just 1.36 % of total Waste Land.
Our country must give project IWDP a status of "Infrastructure Industry" to ensure that a massive investment can be made available in it.
We can see a man- made miracle of IWDP in Project Somnath, in Chandrapur Dist in MH.
did this miracle on about 1200 hactares waste land,(full of boulders)
Our existing IWDP can be converted with the help of modern machinations,by first breaking d boulders into pieces, then filling up it with a 3 ft layers of output from wealth fr waste Fertilizers.
