However there appears to be one area of governance where the role of the State Government is no longer effective. This is the registration of vehicles and driving licenses. I state this due to the following reasons 1. The success of UID has shown that a registry of all citizens can be successfully maintained 2. The success of the National Highways program has shown that such infrastructure is better handled by a centralized authority 3. The corruption in built in Vehicle and driving licensing in most states have rendered the traceability of a Vehicle very difficult. This aspect is highlighted by the frequent usage of vehicles for terrorism I have made my point to humbly request centralization of Vehicle and licensing process
