Respected Sir/Madam, I would like to bring to your attention certain issues that highlight the need for stronger consumer protection standards in India. 1. There are no clearly defined minimum warranty standards for electronic or electrical spare parts used in repairs. Consumers are often offered very short warranty periods that do not provide reasonable assurance of quality or reliability. 2. There is limited transparency regarding whether the spare parts installed during repairs are new or refurbished. Consumers generally have no reliable way to verify this. 3. Service providers do not always clearly confirm whether the replacement part is appropriate and compatible with the appliance being repaired. 4. Greater transparency and accountability are needed in customer care and repair service practices. I request the concerned authorities to consider establishing clearer guidelines and standards to better protect consumers. Yours faithfully, Mahesh Shet

In Tamilnadu tenants do not vacate the house even after giving 3 months notice. Also they are not ready to pay 10 percent increased rent after a year. Police refused to take up the case to vacate the house and house owners were helpless. In Tamilnadu house owners are not allowed to disconnect electric power and water supply of the rented house because it is illegal ( after giving 3 months notice in front of police). I saw a similar conflict still on for 10 months where tenant is refused to vacate the rented house. In Tamilnadu the chief minister's constituency.
