The Surya Nutan Solar Cooktop developed by Indian Oil Corporation can help India reduce LPG imports. India imports about 60% of its LPG, which requires large foreign exchange (forex). If crores of families use solar cooking for even one meal per day, LPG consumption will reduce significantly. This can save billions of dollars in LPG imports and also reduce government subsidy under schemes like Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana launched by Narendra Modi. That is why solar cooking is considered important for India’s energy security. ✅ Best practical use: Use solar stove in daytime and LPG at night or rainy days. Sir, please do the needful for the shortage of the cooking gas. Do not premit it to become a revolution similar to the 'notorious onion revolution' once upon a time. Respected Prime Minister Modi ji, Indian Oil has introduced the Surya Nutan solar stove as an alternative to LPG, but it is still only in the trial stage. People are facing difficulties due to LPG supply issues and high dependence on imports. Since this technology has already been demonstrated, the Government may consider accelerating its large-scale implementation. Even if some modifications are required, it is not a very complex technology. If implemented earlier, India could have saved significant foreign exchange on LPG imports.
