When plastic was officially banned in 2019, we started replacing it with paper bags. Paper bags are used everywhere starting from malls to restaurants to retail shops to courier delivery. In this rate, daily lots of paper are being used all over the globe. And to provide for this many number of paper bags daily trees and plants are being cut in a large number. This in turn has led to grave climate concerns like rise in temperature and immense scarcity of rainfall. This year in rainy season, rain was recorded 38% less than average. At this rate, in next three years, it would be 80% less. We can't imagine life without water. We also need water to grow foodcrops. No rainfall means no food and no water, means no life on earth. Again we also need plants for oxygen.so my sincere request to use cloth bags instead of paper bags. Cloth bags have a longer lifespan than paper bags and are reusable also whereas paper bags are not reusable .Please make it a law else noone will comply.
