ओडिशा के संबलपुर जिले में एक डॉक्टर ने गरीब और वंचित लोगों का इलाज करने के लिए 'एक रुपया' क्लीनिक ('One Rupee' clinic) खोला है. वीर सुरेन्द्र साईं इंस्टीट्यूट ऑफ मेडिकल साइंसेज एंड रिसर्च (VIMSAR) के मेडिसिन डिपार्टमेंट में सहायक प्रोफेसर शंकर रामचंदानी ने बुरला कस्बे में यह क्लीनिक खोला है, जहां पर मरीजों को इलाज के लिए सिर्फ एक रुपया देना पड़ेगा. लोगों को न लगे कि फ्री में इलाज करा रहे, इसलिए ले रहे एक रुपया फीस एक रुपए फीस लेने के बारे में रामचंदानी ने कहा कि " मैं गरीबों और वंचित लोगों से एक रुपया लेता हूं क्योंकि मैं नहीं चाहता कि वे महसूस करें कि वे मुफ्त में सेवा का लाभ ले रहे हैं. उन्हें यह लगना चाहिए कि इलाज के लिए कुछ पैसे दिए हैं. " रामचंदानी ने कहा कि सैकड़ों लोग नियमित रूप से VIMSAR की ओपीडी में आते हैं और डॉक्टरों की सलाह लेने के लिए मरीजों की लंबी लाइन लगी रहती है. इनमें बुजुर्गों से लेकर विकलांग लोग भी होते हैं. अब उन्हें घंटों खड़े रहने की आवश्यकता नहीं होगी और वे 'एक रुपया' क्लीनिक में आकर दिखा सकेंगे.

Dear Prime Minister Sir, Please initiate a law as under. All new building constructions in Cities must mandatorily have a bore well to extract water within the society and percolation pits to save water. This water can then be used for non drinking purposes like washing gardening etc with a separate pipeline in the houses. If the water turns out potable then it can be used for all purposes including drinking. This will save a lot of potable water during less rains or drought. Also since all societies will probably become independent for water needs, the water saved can be diverted to needy areas or needy societies in emergency uses. This will also help in increasing the green cover of towns and cities because water usage will optimised. Thank you sir. At the construction stage it will not cost much. Even the Cost Benefit analysis will attract every single person. The law will be voluntarily be accepted by all.
