The Ministry of Labour and Employment seeks entries for creating an innovative name for the National Career Service (NCS) which is being established as a Mission Mode Project. A short brief on the project vision is given below:

The Ministry is implementing the National Career Service (NCS) as a Mission Mode Project for transforming the network of over 950 Employment Exchanges to Career Centres for providing a variety of employment related services like career counselling, vocational guidance, information on skill development courses, apprenticeship, internships etc. The Career Centres will be the main outreach and resource centres for the National Career Service. A National portal is also being developed to act as a single window platform for all employment and career related needs of the youth. The portal will facilitate registration of job-seekers, job providers, intermediaries etc. and provide job matching services in a transparent manner. These services and career counselling content will be delivered through multiple channels like Career Centres, helpdesk, mobile devices, CSCs etc.

The Ministry seeks to position the National Career Service as a one-stop shop for all employment related services and invites suggestions to create a Tagline for the proposed National Career Service project.

The last date of submission is October 13, 2014.

The winning entries will be suitably recognised and rewarded.

Public education is the key civil rights issue of the 21st century. Our nation's knowledge-based economy demands that we provide young people from all backgrounds and circumstances with the education and skills necessary to become knowledge workers. If we don't, we run the risk of creating an even larger gap between the middle class and the poor. This gap threatens our democracy, our society and the economic future of India.

If money is your hope for independence you will never have it. The only real security that a man will have in this world is a reserve of knowledge, experience, and ability.
