IN is India’s Country Code Top Level domain (ccTLD). The Govt. of India delegated the operations of INRegistry to NIXI in 2004. The National Internet Exchange of India (NIXI) is a Not-for-Profit Company incorporated under section 25 of the Indian Companies Act, 1956, with an objective of facilitating improved internet services in the country. The INRegistry operates and manages India’s .IN ccTLD.

The INRegistry ensures operational stability, security and reliability of the .IN ccTLD. The INRegistry implements the policies of Department of Electronics and Information Technology, Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, Government of India from time to time.

The INRegistry facilitates the registration of domain names through its accredited registrars spread all over world. For the complete list of accredited registrars, please click here

The last date of submission is 25th October, 2014.

The winning entry will be awarded a cash prize of Rs.50,000/-.

This work of mien is inspired by our vadic kalpavrikcha which had the potential to fulfill all kind of wishes. In reality it was one powerful domain which contained seemingly enormous amount of power for the good of mankind as to be considered auspicious and worth worshiping. In the same note our cyberspace also backed by and constantly enriched by most advanced technology will have the potential to take our country to new heights. Surely it will play an important role in shaping our country.

The logo for .in registry here shows : 1.The India Gate representing letter 'n'. 2.The brown dot represents india's historical relation with soil. 3.The letter 'i' represented by a brush stroke stands for the immense potential and creativity that lies in the the hands of Indian people.
