The goal of Swachh Bharat is to provide access for every person to:-
Sanitation facilities including Toilets, Solid and Liquid Waste Disposal Systems, and clean surroundings.
We have to achieve this by 2019 as a befitting tribute to Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi on his 150th Birth Anniversary.
Under Swachh Bharat Abhiyan (SBA), the Goal is now to make India Open Defecation Free (ODF) India by 2019 by construction of individual, cluster & community toilets; and villages will be kept clean, including through solid and liquid waste management through Gram Panchayats. The Ministry of Drinking Water and Sanitation, Govt. of India seeks entries for design a Logo for Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. The last date of submission is 19th September, 2014. The winning entry will be awarded a cash prize of Rs.50,000/-.

swachh- means clean and so the designed logo is very simple and clean.... the blue wings indicate not just water but the flight towards progressive India!!!! the hands indicate that cleanliness starts from personal levels and thus continue to be a public initiative in future.

The logo depicts the essence of clean India. The Orange & green color lines depict the rivers, water bodies & environment of India. The blue circle reflects sanitation & recycling of all types of wastes. The petals in pink depict the flora n fauna of India which can sustain only by a clean India. The pigeon shaped hand in green color reflects clean hand for a healthy life & freedom for a prosperous India. The water droplet shows the essence of life & access of clean water & hygiene to all Indian
