All citizens and stakeholders of Tirupati City are invited to participate in the essay writing competition on the Theme of Mera Sapno ka Shahar i.e. “Tirupati Nagaram – Naa Kalala Tirupati”.

Municipal Corporation Tirupati will use the inputs from the winning entries to develop the Vision and Sub-goals for the City Plan and preliminary idea of Smart Solutions and Area Based Developments. Essay can be written in English or Telugu.

Topic

The citizens are requested to present the essay on below topic

• Issues/needs of the city, possible solutions for these issues and priorities

Word Limit: Essay should be approximately 1000 words.

The Top 3 Essays will be awarded as:

1. For Students

a) 1st Prize - Rs 25,000/- (Twenty five thousand only)
b) 2nd Prize - Rs 15,000/- (Fifteen thousand only)
c) 3rd Prize - Rs 10,000/- (Ten thousand only)

2. For Others

a) 1st Prize - Rs 25,000/- (Twenty five thousand only)
b) 2nd Prize - Rs 15,000/- (Fifteen thousand only)
c) 3rd Prize - Rs 10,000/- (Ten thousand only)

How to Submit

1. Submit online at https://mygov.in
2. On Postal - Commissioner, Tirupati Municipal Corporation, Tirupati. Please mention on top of the cover as “SMART TIRUPATI – ESSAY WRITING COMPETITION”.

Terms and Conditions

1. Essay should cover the topic mentioned above and weightage shall be given to Creative, Innovative and Positive.

2. The Name of the Participant, Address, Category, Occupation, Age and Contact No., must be mentioned clearly on the top of the Essay.

3. Municipal Corporation Tirupati will evaluate the entries in each category and the TOP THREE ESSAYS will be awarded.

The Competition will close on 15th November, 2015.

The intention of Central Govt. of India to make Tirupati as Smart City is a very great opportunity to Tirupati citizens to develop tirupati. for this i would share some points to succeed the Tirupati Smart City 1) create clean and green atomoshpere in around city 2) UDS Development 3) Drinking Water facility 4) widening of roads 5) Educational institutions are to be placed in out side of tirupati as to control traffic and create peace atmoshpere to student to learn new things. etc.,

In Tirupati City 24 Hours Water supply is essential for this city. Daily lot of piligrims to visit Lord Venkateswara, so water requirement is essential. Water Harvesting Schemes where it is required and necessary to implement this type like Water Store Tank, Rainwater Storage, Sub-Surface Dam, Check Dams

Due to pilgrimage centre, the water supply is essential to tirupati to make as smart city. I suggest to use to water sources to supply water i.e. Kailasagiri etc.,

The population is increased in tirupati so first roads has to be widen and in the main hot the city this corporate colleges are running so they has to be moved to the place were there is much traffic office buildings,hospitals,colleges etc.

The main roads should be developed and widened first and the students on the roads driving the bike very rashly the police has to took special drive on this and necessary action on this and prevent accidents and main the tirupati is loosing greenary not maintaing good plants and mostly is observed trees are cutting day to day to stop cutting the tress and develop the plantation
