Considering the facts LED are more efficient, longer life which saves on investment on lights and bulb, and on other hand high initial investment. The option is Government should come forward with providing units on EMI, included in energy bills.

Main reason is mostly people are not aware of the LED lights. Secondly price is so high, off course manufacturers claim longer life but it has to be proven. Third the calculations of price, life, savings official certified reports should be made available along with ads. Third I do not see any electricity bill difference since bulb, CFL, slim florocent tube, and now LED 9 W strip.

Insofar homes are concerned, LED awareness is rare to be seen. There is need to make the LED become a house-hold brand. But then the most prominent hindrenance towards the LED replacing the traditional bulbs in the homes is the difference in cost of the two which comes in the vicinity of Rs10 -Rs150. FOR AN AVERERAGE FAMILY SOMETIMES THE PRESENT BECOMES MORE IMPORTANT THAN THE FUTURE. h

Subsidies the price of LED"s... Make compulsory of using LED's in government offices where still that tubelights are used.... Subsidiary in price of LED for schools and colleges.. Still many are not aware of LED so to accelerate the adoption firstly aware peoples, students through nukkads. I appreciate scheme of Rajasthan government to provide LED at ₹10 EMI. So every state has to do some like this
