On 26-4-15 in his speech Maan Ki baat Respected PM Mr Narendra Damodardas Modi emphasized on MAYLA MATHE PE DHONA (carrying dirt on head). The phrase was headline in each and every NEWS of the day. Is He really concern about this and made provisions of reservation in LOK SABHA, RAJYA SABHA, STATE VIDHAN SABHA, MILITARY etc etc etc ...... Such reservations are in place in other aspects of life. Respected PM Mr NARENDRA DAMODARDAS MODI SIR do you have explanation or just a speech.

To save energy for the nation as a whole & to reduce the tariff of electricity bills at consumption points, large scale use of LED lights requires encouragement. Some incentive schemes have to be brought in to attract the general public for adoption of the system. The social organisations and institutions should take up the task of educating the public in this are by organising camps, seminars etc

EESL people are encouraging LED Light adoption in a very haphazard way. The tenders are floated for such large volumes that the real manufacturers don't have capacities available. For example, no company have capacity to built up 1,00,000 street lights in three months whereas the recent tender is for 3,00,000 street lights. Similarly, a tender for 7 crore bulbs is being floated without examining the capacity available. Clearly, it encourages the imports and only large players (ignoring SMEs)

1. Make the BIS standards mandatory for LED Lights. Otherwise, non-standard (cheap) products are getting flooded in the market which actually is not saving energy. 2. "MAKE IN INDIA" and SME : LED Lights presents growth rate of more than 50% , so carries a great potential of employment generation provided Govt. encourage SMEs to invest in Manufacturing plants. Otherwise, imports are taking priority.

CFL Contains mercury, as that is a low cost affairs from manufacturers point of view, but as a user, the people can think of a way out. The retailer can offer a discount on new cfl, on behalf of Municipal Corporation, if the user sells the old and fuse cfl to the retailer. This way, the state agency can think of safe disposal of cfl.

LED is a clean technology. It's a semiconductor device. So there is no use of mercury. But since the supplier are procuring the poor quality LED from the Chinese markets, they are claiming less burning hours. In Indian climatic conditions, the LED must be successful upto 40000 hours, but you can see on various ads that the supplier are giving just 15000 hours. There is no control over this sector. People in industry are suffering a lot as failure rate is high and payback is high due to cost

Dear Mr. PM, I am a Energy Auditor by profession. Irrespective of what people have to say about mass usage of LED, I would like to make my contribution as follows :- 1) I must appreciate your vision of making use of LED bulb, but at the same time, I must draw your attention to the aspect that though this technology has created a stir in the market, the manufacturer are making misuse of the opportunity. They are playing with the quality.

Sir Lots of suggestions you got for LED distribution, but I want to make your focus on hazardous nature of mercury found on LED bulbs.it will become more curse for society if dumping system fails. I would like to suggest as shopkeeper solds LED bulb to a consumer,he should also give a genuine discount on submission of fuse or distorted bulbs and shopkeeper should also get discount on submission of faulty pieces from the manufacturer. This methodology will create a chain
