Section 161 of Railway act indicates “If any person driving or leading a vehicle is negligent in crossing an unmanned level crossing, he shall be punishable with imprisonment ...

Section 161 of Railway act indicates “If any person driving or leading a vehicle is negligent in crossing an unmanned level crossing, he shall be punishable with imprisonment which may extend to one year.”

Section 131 of the Motor Vehicle Act indicates that “Every driver of a motor vehicle at the approach of any unguarded railway level crossing shall cause the vehicle to stop and the driver of the vehicle shall cause the conductor or cleaner or attendant or any other person in the vehicle to walk up to the level crossing and ensure that no train or trolley is approaching from either side and then pilot the motor vehicle across such level crossing, and where no conductor or cleaner or attendant or any other person is available in the vehicle, the driver of the vehicle shall get down from the vehicle himself to ensure that no train or trolley is approaching from either side before the railway track is crossed”

However due to non-following of relevant rules by the road users, many accidents are occurring resulting in loss of precious life  at unmanned level crossings.

Suggest solutions for reducing accidents at unmanned level crossings.

sir, instead of modification and repair ,we need to Work on new brand routes with solution to all. with strict quality check.

मैं दो दिन पहले ही मुंबई,सूरत की यात्रा करके आया हूँ| मैने काफी समय बाद रेल में सफ़र किया है,और मैं कह सकता हूँ कि रेलवे में बदलाव दिखाई देता है| पहले जहाँ स्टेशन पर गंदगी भरी पडी रहती थी इस बार स्टेशन साफ नजर आरहे थे, प्लेटफार्म पर कचरा नहीं के बराबर था| मैं २A में सफ़र कार रहा था| डब्बा बी साफ था और हर बड़े स्टेशन पर सफाई कर्म चारी आ कार सफाई कार रहे थे| Train No.16533 Jodpur to Bangalore की थी| ये 2A डब्बा काफी पुराना था| सारे बाथरूम के नल व फ्लश लीक हो रहे थे,फर्श पर पानी भरा था| तुरंत सुधारे|

sansad adarsh gram yojna ek bemisal yojna hai...bas har sansad imandari se isko jiye...Indian railway me reservation sector me sudhar ki zaroorat hai..

आज देश के 80% रेलवे स्टेशन पर खारा पानी मिलता है। और बोतल बँद पानी धड्ले से 20 रूपये लीटर में बिक रहा है। मेरा मानना है की करोड़ो रूपये की लागत से बने रेलवे स्टेशन पर क्या 3-4 लाख रूपये और लगाकर 10-15 RO water फ़िल्टर नहीं लगाये जा सकते। आप कह सकते है की इनका maintenence महंगा हो जायेगा तो मेरा तर्क है की क्या इन RO के पास में दन पात्र रखा जा सकता है। मुझे पूरा विशवास है की मेरे भारत वर्ष की दानवीर जनता 1-2 रूपये करके daily इतना पैसा तो डाल ही देगी की जितने से इन RO का daily maintenence हो सके

For unmanned level crossings to avoid accidents there should be some indication or alarm system when train is coming. We can use GPS tracking systems to do that and also can save many life.

i booked the premium ticket from irctc on 16th jan 2015, PNR number - 2743212211 and train was canceled , i thought money will be back to my bank automatic but i was wrong , today i write to irctc for about then they told i have to filled the form with in 3days for money return, so now i totaly lossed my rs.2700/- feeling so sad its not my fault. my request to "modi sir" please change the rule , if Train canceled then automaticaly money refund to everyone.

The Reservation System for three tire must be change bec if someone book from the middle stations the seat is coming blank & because of this we can increase our railway revenue.
