Section 161 of Railway act indicates “If any person driving or leading a vehicle is negligent in crossing an unmanned level crossing, he shall be punishable with imprisonment which may extend to one year.”

Section 131 of the Motor Vehicle Act indicates that “Every driver of a motor vehicle at the approach of any unguarded railway level crossing shall cause the vehicle to stop and the driver of the vehicle shall cause the conductor or cleaner or attendant or any other person in the vehicle to walk up to the level crossing and ensure that no train or trolley is approaching from either side and then pilot the motor vehicle across such level crossing, and where no conductor or cleaner or attendant or any other person is available in the vehicle, the driver of the vehicle shall get down from the vehicle himself to ensure that no train or trolley is approaching from either side before the railway track is crossed”

However due to non-following of relevant rules by the road users, many accidents are occurring resulting in loss of precious life  at unmanned level crossings.

Suggest solutions for reducing accidents at unmanned level crossings.

Security of passengers on board are controlled by State GRP and RPF/RPSF. Yesterday incidence of RPF personnel throwing Rita off the moving train near Varanasi who had 18 months daughter with her and was later died on way to hospital is horrifying example of these RPF men who were collecting money from poor passengers. DG/RPF must come out with an effective plan with firm assurance that these incidences will not happen again.

Defence personnel face various problems for reservation on Concession Vouchers and FRW. It is suggested that provision should be made for online reservation using Concession Voucher, Form D, FRW numbers. These voucher would be actioned by TC during journey. Passenger with wrong voucher or not in posession of voucher may be penalised to maintain sanctity of Reservation System. This would ease the journey problem for lacs of soldiers of our nation.

Before Rail budget the authorities are requested to take public views, my opinion is Railway have to introduce Rail Pass more than 200 KM, & to introduce Jay Hind Card for all passenger i.e. one card many solution ATM, ADDHAR , PAN, Voter i Card, Driving licence Blood group, and all medical data with it, If Rail give discount then every person will use this and we can prevent any type of mishap inside Railway. and its cost should not be more than Rs.300/-

in railway many trains are still following old time. even they reach before time then they do some stops and try to reach at the given time. so every month or two month trains should study their time to reach the target if they are reaching before the time then they should upgrade the time to reach and dont do un necessary stops every wehre

NAMO GANGA. Machinery based sewage treatment is prone to break down and under performance. Lot of sewage will flow to Ganga before STPs are ready. Try partially processed sewage for irrigation and as fertilizer at least for isolated ares and limited crops. Certainly Bamboo. Bananas stock toxicity in its Yam. Turmeric can be tried. Farmers will come with local geniuses. Early results to be monitored. Cheap and huge possibilities. Bengaluru accepted septic tank refuse as fertilizer.
