Section 161 of Railway act indicates “If any person driving or leading a vehicle is negligent in crossing an unmanned level crossing, he shall be punishable with imprisonment which may extend to one year.”

Section 131 of the Motor Vehicle Act indicates that “Every driver of a motor vehicle at the approach of any unguarded railway level crossing shall cause the vehicle to stop and the driver of the vehicle shall cause the conductor or cleaner or attendant or any other person in the vehicle to walk up to the level crossing and ensure that no train or trolley is approaching from either side and then pilot the motor vehicle across such level crossing, and where no conductor or cleaner or attendant or any other person is available in the vehicle, the driver of the vehicle shall get down from the vehicle himself to ensure that no train or trolley is approaching from either side before the railway track is crossed”

However due to non-following of relevant rules by the road users, many accidents are occurring resulting in loss of precious life  at unmanned level crossings.

Suggest solutions for reducing accidents at unmanned level crossings.

Indian Railways**** Reduce the cost of operations by removing the experimental /temporary halts*** As per railway records, there are over 1250 experimental halts all over the country. which makes a big loss for railways. As a common traveller, I also noticed that there are many temporary halts for many trains. In some halts, nobody boarding or alighting the train. Train just stop & then move. Railways need to execute this plan asap for recovering the energy loss.

.**MISC.**.."BBBP"...With the launch of the "BETI BACHAO, BETI PADHAO" Scheme on 22nd instant, The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi has under-lined a 'social deformity' which has inflicted our society, for years. He has sought to set the Nation on the right course by trying to bring home the point that, as he has put it, "sons and daughters are two wings of our dreams". We can't ignore the fact that the skewed gender-ratio against girl child is really grave in certain areas of our country.

railway minister should take those peoples for work in the same system who are really interested and have complete and excellent knowledge about the railway problems and system, and should more focus on management of railway systems which can give the people more and more flexible and easy railway facility.
