At such crossings a 'GUARDING LIGHTS' be installed at every 10-20 meters that indicates the closeness of train; i.e,
GREEN - no train in next 30 min
YELLOW-train might come in next 20-30 min
RED- train in next 5-10 min. The light might change color according to the tension line across the rails. Or SOME other indicative SIGNAL that might indicate the vicinity of the train.

In the 1920s, after World War II, USA realised the need for a comprehensive road network connecting every corner of the United States, not only for economic growth, but also because it was extremely important for the defence of the country. Following this, the Eisenhower Interstate Highway System was born. With the exception of a few stretches, it is toll free. Vajpayeeji had a similar dream but could not realise it - the Modi govt should pass legislation that kickstarts such a network in India.

this can be controlled by a simple device which is installed before 20 kms of the crossing it can be a lazer beam which is passing from one side to the other when any train passes through this track area then the beam is obstructed which either alarms the people there at the crossing or it can automatically shut the gates of the crossing thus by saving vital lives

Everything is definitely improving constantly in the Indian Railways except for catering and cleanliness especially in washrooms. I am proud to be a user of the Railways since the last 50 years. Catering was at its best at that time but as days have past by they have degraded both the quality and the service. There are numerous examples to highlight but everyone knows the present state of condition. If one is a regular traveller by any of the Shatabdi or Rajdhani Exp he will hate the stereotype.
