Section 161 of Railway act indicates “If any person driving or leading a vehicle is negligent in crossing an unmanned level crossing, he shall be punishable with imprisonment which may extend to one year.”

Section 131 of the Motor Vehicle Act indicates that “Every driver of a motor vehicle at the approach of any unguarded railway level crossing shall cause the vehicle to stop and the driver of the vehicle shall cause the conductor or cleaner or attendant or any other person in the vehicle to walk up to the level crossing and ensure that no train or trolley is approaching from either side and then pilot the motor vehicle across such level crossing, and where no conductor or cleaner or attendant or any other person is available in the vehicle, the driver of the vehicle shall get down from the vehicle himself to ensure that no train or trolley is approaching from either side before the railway track is crossed”

However due to non-following of relevant rules by the road users, many accidents are occurring resulting in loss of precious life  at unmanned level crossings.

Suggest solutions for reducing accidents at unmanned level crossings.

updating new no, IRCTC doen't delete old no, rather it add new no . Its an issue with technical implementation(database structure). My old no N1 could have been assigned to a new person by telecom operator and that new person can't create his account with his new no as no is alreday registered in IRCTC . It must be fixed. The moment someone updated his no, old no should be deleted, overwritten.

price of counter reservation tickets that are fully wait listed after chart is prepared should be cut down proportionally as they are bound to travel without birth so they must be charged less compare to those who have confirm tickets. #in public interest
