Skills in all sectors, including Mining involve 1) Acquisition / assimilation of relevant practical knowledge which normally calls for class-room approach, 2) Hands-on learning of the process of applying the knowledge which normally best done in "Laboratories/ workshops" and 3) updating such application of knowledge to meet market needs through Interacting with experienced / professional operators in seminars & symposiums. Diploma / certificates must reflect the Training in all the three levels

Dear Mr PM, I have been hearing your talks -Man Kee batt.I was encouraged to write to you since you are talking about drugs in your next talk.My state Punjab and martial race Sikhs have got bogged down in drugs today.75 % of youth is in drugs and every one hour one boy and every day one girl is still being introduced to drugs.Mafia is politico-police and criminals sponsored. With your push some de-addiction centres have been opened in Punjab but those are just eye wash. Please do something.

Class-room training is only 20% and remaining shall be on job training at work site to get proper output. Skill only can be developed by providing proper knowledge of safety, environment, operation of equipment/machinery and their job effort Vs output. Now a days in mining skilled persons are available and that is only 25% required remaining is work force, which can be developed with proper on job vocational training and proper compansation.
