The Prime Minister shared a visionary approach to transform the development journey of our villages in the form of the Saansad Adarsh Gram Yojana. The initiative calls upon MPs to select a village in their constituency and make it a Model Village by 2016. Furthermore, the number of model villages should increase as time progresses so that in a decade a large number of villages become Model Villages across India.

The rationale behind a landmark idea such as this is clear- India lives in the villages and India will only progress when our villages progress. Development of villages can happen best when everybody walks shoulder to shoulder and contributes towards the comprehensive development of the village. And who better than the local Members of Parliament to drive this change!

This specially created forum on MyGov invites out of the box ideas on how the Saansad Adarsh Gram Yojana can become the driving force in bringing a qualitative difference in our villages. Lets make the development of our villages a grand mass movement and together create a golden future for rural India.

while covering all the aspects of growth in their areas ,MLA should try to implement centrals schemes effectively.Jan dhan scheme recently announced could be in a much better state. Mla can ask school to conduct special parents teacher meeting urging them to open account.even if one parent shows up from poor locality ,he can spread the message .this will redce the burden. MLA can help the school management o arrange meeting .

There shouldnt be no difference b/w cities towns and villages. Education is the most important thing. We should attract clilds frm villages to schools. Electicity is another imprtnt ammenity. We should use natural resourses like solar n wind energy to produce electricity. Mainly in costal areas wind mills should be installed.

I belong to Mahoba district , this area has been draught affected and gov should luk forward for setting industries in such areas for establishing industries so that the cultivable land is not affected , secondly this area is rich in granite so instead of turning all granite into dust we should promote granite craft industry which will provide more jobs and earning thirdly , this area is also of historical importance with many historic monument waiting for their recognition (tourism promotion)

The main point to be focused on for villages right now is the roads. As roads in most of the villages in India are 'kaccha' roads, they erode in every monsoon. Disruption of roads results in disruption of traffic and hence that village misses on opportunities. Better roads will connect villages with cities effectively.

Real power lies in the depth of villages, where a farmer grows food so that rest of the countrymen can consume. He even took natural calamities over himself and yet stand strong to provide what they are for. This is very true that we can develop our country if we develop our villages. But, firstly we need to improve the hygiene lifestyle and conditions of villages to expedite the growth. Once we provide the education to all in villages, day will be no far when villages are modern in itself.

Sansad Adarsh Gram Yojana is good initiative towards overall development of India. To encourage it, every year, from every state, may be declared as best Gram in the state. As remuneration, that Gram may be granted special prize/fund from Central Government.

The dream of Clean and Digital India through launching of Concept of Smart Cities can become a reality only by strenthenning the capacity and institutional building of Local Self Governments of the proposed Smart Cities. Unlike the Mission Cities concept under JnNURM program in which the system was an external support, the Capacity Building for effective Urban Planning and Service Delivery can be enhanced through setting up HRD and training centers in all Smart Cities, for continuous monitoring
