The Prime Minister shared a visionary approach to transform the development journey of our villages in the form of the Saansad Adarsh Gram Yojana. The initiative calls upon MPs to select a village in their constituency and make it a Model Village by 2016. Furthermore, the number of model villages should increase as time progresses so that in a decade a large number of villages become Model Villages across India.

The rationale behind a landmark idea such as this is clear- India lives in the villages and India will only progress when our villages progress. Development of villages can happen best when everybody walks shoulder to shoulder and contributes towards the comprehensive development of the village. And who better than the local Members of Parliament to drive this change!

This specially created forum on MyGov invites out of the box ideas on how the Saansad Adarsh Gram Yojana can become the driving force in bringing a qualitative difference in our villages. Lets make the development of our villages a grand mass movement and together create a golden future for rural India.

A Adarsh Gram - should be self progressive and self dependent with zero wastage and environment friendly. 1) Electricity - Solar or Wind or Bio Gas - it should not depend on outer source of the electricity rather capable to supply extra electric generation. 2) Rain Water harvesting and storage of the Rain Water in safe and environment friendly manner without any pollution 3) All domestic waste should be classified 4) Kitchen /bio waste should be converted processed for generating kitchen fuel.

In 2001,during course of works our NGO we found some beggars in guwahati.. When we asked their issues and we astonished on their reply. 90% gave priority to save their earnings. Only vital issue they informed leaving other issues like houses, clothes that some wicket person captured their earnings. The bankers did not like to open accounts for beggars. This is philosophy of PM’s Jan Dhan Programme we can understand.I can catch the real philosophy why hon’ble PM gives top priority to the program

Would like to draw Hon'ble PM's attention towards ISRO programmes, particularly, earth observation satellites for civil and military applications. ISRO capability for next one 6 to 8 years is 0.8 to 1 mtr, where as commercial data available in market is 0.5 mtr. It is exactly the way Indian Railway is, where cruising speed is 70 km in year 2014 vrs 300 kms in developed countries. Space science also needs to be out of public sector domain, if true progress is required. We are 10 years behind Sir.

Philosophy of PM’s Jan Dhan Yojona: One can say about the PM’s Jan Dhan Yojona is simple government programme. In general sense, opening of bank account and providing government assistances may be a small matter. But I don’t think so. I can catch the real philosophy why hon’ble PM gives top priority to the programme. I termed it as realistic step where actual grass root pulse highlighted. I would like to share a case study to support my feelings. Society For Social continued to next

Each village should be developed like a public limited company with every villager as a stake holder so that the village is self sustaining and can provide revenue and return for investment. It should be agriculture and allied industry based to ensure its environmentally sustainable and contributes to the food bowl of india.

Concepts to be compulsorily used in developing a model village: Clean energy - either solar/hyrdo or biomass gasifiers whichever is cost effective.Wind energy is too expensive for an indian village. Either connected to grid or off grid and independent. Health care both primary clinic and maternity clinics and emergency ambulance to take them to a district hospital if need be. Primary school for upto 12th grade with english medium.
