You need to educate every service provider, be it bank, insurance or utility sector customer service skills. Every provider should have their website and provide contactable phone numbers and e-mail address. Today no one picks up phone and replies to e-mail, be it bank, hospitals or any service provider. What a mess that is INDIA? Do you think a wise NRI will invest in India?

What are you prepared to give back to Diaspora? Their investment is not safe, You have a bureaucratic mess. OCIs are not able to get their investment back from India, forget about re-investing. I lost my money in UTI and ICICI bonds. I will not advise any NRI to invest in India.

A sports culture is essential for all nations to establish and flourish. It promotes health and an active lifestyle. It brings people together from all cultural and religious backgrounds. It promotes inter-state and intra-state harmony through trade and competition; it is pro-business, and it offers an opportunity to rebuild and prioritize infrastructure projects (think of winning the bid for the Olympics … just make sure the venue does not become a white elephant … study Brazil’s experience).

I would like to get strong laws implemented for the rapist who are proved guilty and counselling for the victim. I would like to get strong elder laws implemented where the old parents are neglected by their own kids and at the age when they need them they are thrown out, abused, or ignored

The SBI suggestion can be applied to all overseas branches and SBI should offer accounts in local currency so NRI's are encouraged to open SBI accounts. The money can be used for development of India.

Very long time ago, I had suggested to an SBI official to allow NRI's to open accounts in US $ instead of in Rupees and use them as normal US bank accounts and give better interest rate than the US banks offer. Lot of NRI's can deposit hundreds of thousands in their accounts which can help India's growth. We can put lot of money in the savings and fixed deposit accounts if the rates offered are better than US bank rates. It will be good if this is implemented by SBI. Thank you.
