Apart from investment, government must also focus on public infrastructure. Why not ask people to generously donate money for schemes like Namami Ganga,Jandhan and Beti Bachao,Beti padao?.Wikipedia does same thing. Those who donate may be given credits which they can utilise may be for travelling in train in first class once in lifetime or in aeroplane.

The basic need for energy conservation is to #SWITCHOFF all the unnecessary use of electrical power. Make more & more windows in the office buildings. We also use solar power panels on the roofs of the tin sheds of the mills, godowns , metro stations, railway station platforms etc. & one more thing the roofs are also made for rain water harvesting. we can collect the rainy water in a underground tank.

If we start Local Trains for every 200 Km span with the frequency of every one Hr or Half Hr for e.g 1) Mumbai - Nasik 2) Nasik - Bhusawal 3) Bhusawal - Badnera etc this will give better alternative to traveller other than BUS to traveller and saves lots of diesel consumtion and pollution caused due to BUS, also saves time of travelling

I can see in many cities the Street lights are still on even its 7AM and a bright Sun out. The Municipalities or the Panchayats should strictly be found guilty of it and penalties should be done. The more you waste the worst the situation would be.

light specially for stairway lighting, parking, etc should have motion sensor based fixtures. IN a 10 hour cycle, people do not move around for about 5 hours but lights are always "ON". Wonder why philips and other brands have ignored this massive market.
