Several studies have shown that school children do not seem to acquire age appropriate skills in reading, writing and numeracy. There is a need to explore the various approaches to improve teaching–learning at the elementary stage. The objective of this theme is to understand the issues of low learning achievement levels in elementary schooling, assess the system of Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation and suggest ways and methods of improving the learning outcomes of school children which would result in enhancing the quality of elementary education.

विद्यार्थियों में सर्वप्रथम शिष्टता एवं सदाचारिता ही कूट-कूट कर भरनी चाहिये । विद्यार्थियों के नैतिक और चारित्रिक विकास से सम्बन्धित विषय-वस्तुयें भी होनी चाहिये ।

गुरुजन बन्धुओं को सर्वप्रथम तो स्वतः यह संकल्प लेना होगा कि हम सद्भाव एवं सद्व्यवहार प्रधान शिष्ट एवं संयमित जीवन को ही आधार बनाए चलते-चलाते हुए ‘सत्यं बद्; धर्मं चर ! (सत्य बोलें और धर्म पर रहें-चलें !)’ जो जीवन का सर्वोत्तम् लक्ष्य है, को ही एकमात्र लक्ष्य बनाकर आगे-पढे़-पढ़ायेंगे, बढ़े बढ़ाएंगे ।

विद्यार्थियों का समुचित विकास किस प्रकार हो यह पूरी जिम्मेदारी गुरुजन बन्धुओं पर ही होना चाहिये । सुधारात्मक अनुशासन विद्यार्थियों पर बराबर रहना चाहिये । इसके साथ ही किसी भी पारिवारिक व्यक्ति को गुरुजन बन्धुओं के अनुशासन में दखल नहीं देना चाहिये । अपने पुत्र-पुत्रियों को गुरुजन बन्धुओं के निर्देशन में ही सदा रखना चाहिये । ईमान-सच्चाई-संयम-सेवा अनिवार्य होना चाहिये !

1.Teacher people ratio should be 1:20,2. Learning by doing strengthend, 3. sudden visit's department, 4. No instution's of political and inspectacate sould be strenghtend

this is prasad kamarapu from karimnagar telangana.. my opinion is learn the children "how to read,do not dictate them or fallow things improve their mindset how to creation new things;. And teacher or acharya should observe the student ,in which field interested.

Elementary education help the childrens whole development.In lower level classes childrens like to play. Teachers will follow play metod and activity method.

In primary education we are following the methods which are from other countries. why don't we follow the Indian methods taking from Chanakya, the Ramayana ;and the Mahabharata. according to Noam Chomsky it is not necessary to practice alphabet in an order but our teachers are not catching it in a true spirit. Indian rhymes and songs are to be taught and practiced.our culture and traditions are t o be included in the syllabus of the school children other wise how do we expect good citizens.

There are millions of children particularly from poor and downtroden section of society who are not enrolled in schools and thereby wasting thier future by playing in the streets.Gram panchayat must be given the responsiblity that all the children must be addmitted in school and thier performance must be monitored by the Sarpanch of the village to arrest the dropout rate. Sarpanch must be given power to inspect schools and to check the performance of teachers and submit annual report to DC or DM
