Several studies have shown that school children do not seem to acquire age appropriate skills in reading, writing and numeracy. There is a need to explore the various approaches to improve teaching–learning at the elementary stage. The objective of this theme is to understand the issues of low learning achievement levels in elementary schooling, assess the system of Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation and suggest ways and methods of improving the learning outcomes of school children which would result in enhancing the quality of elementary education.

Education for child should be developed in such a way that examples and points should be from there surrounding and language selection should be done in such a way that student can understand.. for judging there development our traditional method is completely failure. we should observe the behavior changes in student there personality there thought changing process. before and after the completion of session. we must trained our teacher to judge student with new pattern

Most of the value education being taught in schools, be it about cleanliness or saving power, do not make an impact on the mind of child because there is a disconnect between what is taught in schools and what is practiced at home. Parents should be made aware of the Value education activities being taught at school and they should be requested that those practices must be replicated at home as well. When children will see same things happening at home and school, this will have a lasting impact

Government gives land to educational institute and expect that these institute give free education to some poor people. But in reality most of these institutes are only making profit and not giving any admission to poor people. My suggestion is that Govt. should launch a talent hunt scholarship scheme among poor/needy people. Brilliant and poor student who succeed in scholarship will be directly admitted freely to those education insti. who have taken benifits without any fee. by govt. order.

a) Primary school teacher shall be compensated well. (as they are making founding pillars). b) shall be well trained and know their subjects.

1. Primary education shall be in mother tongue. 2. Facilities to be created to teach respective mother tongue of students in all the states. 3. The focus of the education to be knowledge oriented. The focus shall be on about the country, culture, our leaders both spiritual and political 4. Teaching of English to commence only from 5th standard only. 5. All the school shall adopt the same syllabus till the primary education. 6. The same shall be made mandatory and free for all.

Sir if teacher focus only teaching then learning process must be on right path. Needs of teacher must be fulfilled by authority . teachers are always unhappy with upper authority 1--transfer policy 2--allowance etc. If we want good education then government should care those who give education . Government provide good infrastructure in schools. Teacher only teach not work as a babu (teacher always completing children files medical file mid-day mil files discuss on promotion, macp etc.

I am not against Pvt. tuitions. But the teacher should take extra classes in the school itself for those weaker students. The school may hike the fees for the purpose...that will be accepted by all the children.

In the present system, most of the students up to class X take pvt. tutions and hence are given high marks in the Formative/Summative assessment. But when they give their Class XII boards, they perform miserably.

The education system in India is one of the worst in the world. For students up to class X, what is expected from the teachers is that they should teach the subject. Instead, they barely solve one or two questions/ problems in the class and expect the students to come to them for pvt tuitions. Those students who do not take tuitions from them are harrassed in many ways. The students who take pvt tutions already know what questions are going to come in the exam. PVT TUITIONS SHOULD BE BANNED

Several govt. schools are scattered with 1 or 2 teacher and only minor number of students.Instead of teaching, they just fullfill their duty as a govt. servant. Children also don't get much oppurtunity to learn from this limited environment. We must save these children. Instead of wasting money on functioning of a small school, govt must form single large elementary schools to cover a large population.And spend small amount on transportation facility to pick and drop children from their houses.
