Several studies have shown that school children do not seem to acquire age appropriate skills in reading, writing and numeracy. There is a need to explore the various approaches to improve teaching–learning at the elementary stage. The objective of this theme is to understand the issues of low learning achievement levels in elementary schooling, assess the system of Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation and suggest ways and methods of improving the learning outcomes of school children which would result in enhancing the quality of elementary education.

Teaching in NCERT way is the best method ever. Many state govt syllabus are not attractive and only full of facts. There is no scope for a student to think and analyse. Many teachers are not up to the mark and unable to teach even petty state syllabus. My opinion is 1) NCERT EDUCATION. 2)REDUCING SCHOOL TIMINGS(8AM-12PM) 3) PLAYGROUND FACILITY. 4) SUFFICIENT TIME TO PLAY. 5) CONCEPT ORIENTED BUT NOT MARKS ORIENTED. 6) DAILY ONE ANALYTICAL TASK FROM NCERT BOOKS. IT MAKES CHILD 2 NJOY EDU

Learning must be flexible, more practical, sharing, proactive and enjoyable.There is no question of success or defeat, learning is by feeling, recognising, enjoying and committing mistakes. There should never be the comparison and negative remarks about the student, whom he/she should be encouraged to bring out skills and knowledge positively. More virtual classes and live demo to be present. Analytical and statistical study should be started from the childhood to innovate new things.

all schools should be made bag-free. learn and do all home work in school and then enjoy play n other sports or entertainment activities at home. this way students will be quite stress free and will be more analytical, free and scientific in their approach as their mind will be full of new ideas. lets make education a love for children, and not a burden.

State government syllabus are not upto the standard set by NCERT. Textbooks of state government syllabus are more like college books with lot of text without much images. Even images are black and white. There should be common syllabus for Science and Mathematics for all the schools in India. All schools should follow CBSE syllabus for Science and Maths. State syllabus students can't compete with CBSE students during national and international level entrance exams after 12th and Graduation.

Public examination has to be reintroduced. I believe 7th, 10th and 12th should have tough public exams. Quality not Quantity should be focus. Now because of No-fail system introduced India is producing Unemployable educated who are not ready to take-up lower jobs. Each student should be given a reality check of his real knowledge with Public exams. It also matters that a class has high quality peers to bring best out of a student. India will not gain by just passing students to next class.

It is difficult to build a generation of highly skilled, adaptive workforce than building an expressway. In last 5-10 years, examination system has been made lenient, which is not good. Ideally, we should make examination system such a way that, in life these students should be able to take up any pressure and come winning. Nowadays, students are pushed from class to class as fail system has been removed. When such student reach 8th or 10th they are not able to learn anything.

Recent exam system me bacche achhee tarah se samajh rahe he ki hum beena mehanat kiye bhi aasani se pass ho sakte he.kyoki r.t.e. k tahat bachho ko fel nahi kiya ja sakta he. atah r.t.e.i is dhara me sashodhan kiya jana chahiye kam se kam primary level tak. kyoki yadi niv hi kamjor hogi to us par sashakt bhavan nahi banaya ja sakata. yadi bacha pahli class se hi daksha ho kar niklega to vah agly class ki padaai aasani se kar sakega .

Primary education should be in the mother tongue (local languages).Value based education should be taught. Lives and teachings of sons and daughters of India like Shivaji, Swami Vivekananda, freedom fighters like veer savarkar, Jhansi Lakshmi, Netaji, Chandra Sekhar Azad, scientists like Jagadeesh Chandra Bose, Arya Bhatta, Shivkar Bapuji Talpade, should be taught. Sanskrit must be included as a language for every Indian. Yoga also should be taught at all levels of education.

This is very much important to improve the education standard of government operated primary schools because this is the base of a children. there will be proper teaching staff and monitoring of their teaching standard on regular interval is mandatory.
