Several studies have shown that school children do not seem to acquire age appropriate skills in reading, writing and numeracy. There is a need to explore the various approaches to improve teaching–learning at the elementary stage. The objective of this theme is to understand the issues of low learning achievement levels in elementary schooling, assess the system of Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation and suggest ways and methods of improving the learning outcomes of school children which would result in enhancing the quality of elementary education.

Teachers are busy for mid day meal, Election Commission’s duties, censorship duties etc. Today 60% sixth standard students even can not write their name in their mother tongue. 80% can not even do simple mathematical subtraction. To save this country from this peril few steps must be taken(1) Direct take over of elementary education by the central Govt as per RTE Act (2)Highly qualified and motivated teachers only recruited for this job (3) Proper monitoring of private D El Ed and B Ed Coll

Education must groom children towards Physical, Mental and Social health. Yoga, excercises, meditation and community work should be part of the education system. Education must teach human values and enable children to become better individuals, participating family members, responsible citizens, helpful community members and thoughful leaders. They must also be provided vocational training, and life skills like cooking, cleaning, organizing, teamwork, cooperation, building and creativity.

Good education is foundation of all culture, behaviour, values, virtues & progress. Its lack is the cause of mental, moral & social decline. सुशिक्षा संस्कृति, सभ्यता, शालीनता, समृधी और सदगुणों का मूल है । सुशिक्षा का आभाव ही मनुष्य के मानसिक, नैतिक और समाजिक पतन का कारण है । The purpose of education is to build responsible citizens who contribute to peace,wellness & prosperity of people in society. भारत की हर पाठशाला में योगाभ्यास आध्यात्मिक और संस्कृति शिक्षण अनिवार्य रूप से होना चाहिये।

Now it has become a culture today those who can spend more money will get better education. This is our serious failure. For this we need to make one standard methods of primary education. We need to ensure common learning skills and subjects and medium beyond the boundation of u.p./cbsce/icsce boards. We may conduct district viseExam for all schools of that district to check whether any school is up to the mark or not and if it is not then cancel its registration.

Primary School system intention is Good but outcome is far behind. Basic issue Mismanagement ! I suggest to make Clusters of 5-6 schools , put it for Bid for 2-3 years and privatise the management. Put in place an electronic appraisal mechanism which includes Kids grade , enrolment , drop-out rate and how many kids are taking mid-day meals. Based on paramters these contracts can be rotated. I beleive an efficient accountability can bring positive changes in Elementary education.

I Sujit Gope as a teacher want to request the government to make all the govt school English medium.and give mother tongue and other vernacular language such as hindi ,Bengali, Assamese ,Nepali, boro,Urdu, hmar etc as a choose of any 2 subject among the above mentioned subject.

Give teachers some power. they are just like their guard whose work is just to let them sit in class not teaching like a teacher.money which is given to students should be based on attendence percentage.to every student.. their should not be any reservation type. It should be clearcut 85% attendence then that student is elligible to hv subsidy from governmnt.there should be right of equality in classroom.ever child starts hate any sc/st when he comes to know that they will get 1000 rs and we 500
