Several studies have shown that school children do not seem to acquire age appropriate skills in reading, writing and numeracy. There is a need to explore the various approaches to improve teaching–learning at the elementary stage. The objective of this theme is to understand the issues of low learning achievement levels in elementary schooling, assess the system of Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation and suggest ways and methods of improving the learning outcomes of school children which would result in enhancing the quality of elementary education.

Need to bring value oriented education method in our education system in elementary level. Should focus on language skills in elementary level. This will develop knowledge and confident.

Education system is wasting time of majority of students which in turn as become biggest hardal for National growth. Giving my own example, I wanted to attain Free computer Hardware training which was conducted during my final yr Degree exam.I decided to take supplementary exam and complete my degree. it took 3 yrs to complete . this happened because I was forced to wait for 6 months and it was not according to my time convenience. as I already started working I did not get permissions to atte

Our education systems need to change, Few things which we need ton religiously stress in our education curriculum, 1. Thinking out of the box: Our education system is pretty much oriented towards mugging syllabus and getting marks. This needs to change. We need to adopt syllabus & teaching practices to make students under stand the concept and encourage out of the box thinking. 2. We need to bring in lot of value oriented education in our syllabus.

Education is gaining knowledge. to gain knowledge ,good control over language is important . Elementary education should focus on implanting language skills.knowledge on values of life, if taught in elementary level ,good citizens will be developed.stories from puranas and edikasas will implant fine values in kids.

India has an history of more than 300 years and some communities have history for more than 2000 years. History of the states are also history of the nation, which should be shared with upcoming generation to avoid future disturbances. Only when the pupil knows who he is and where he belongs he will strive harder to reach that level. Hope my voice will make a difference. Thank you.

Prime importance should be given to pupils who show talents either in studies or sports and should be groomed by peers in respective fields. In a country of 120 crore we are unable to field strong olympians bcoz of this issue. Moral science and Mother tongue teaching should be mandatory.
