Several studies have shown that school children do not seem to acquire age appropriate skills in reading, writing and numeracy. There is a need to explore the various approaches to improve teaching–learning at the elementary stage. The objective of this theme is to understand the issues of low learning achievement levels in elementary schooling, assess the system of Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation and suggest ways and methods of improving the learning outcomes of school children which would result in enhancing the quality of elementary education.

teacher training should be equipped with new method of teaching. there has to be change in teaching practices.

Employ research institutions in obtaining real time data on "what goes on" in the institutions. Research institutions particularly those belong to government are BIG while elephants who do nothing but create fictitious face of education. Big churning is desired. Rotten minds have to be thrown out of the system who are sitting at the helm of affairs. Organisations like department of science and technology has to play vital roles but unfortunately are under the crunch of blood sucking vultures.

Elementary education provides base for all "sanskars". Present elementary education is good per say policy but implementation is big ZERO. The teachers teaching in elementary education do NOT possess requisite qualification, experience and attitude to nurture young brains. This rotten system needs to be uprooted and re-engineered to transform heart and minds of present teachers. Remove other non-teaching burden from the heads of the schools.

the main growth of any country depend on people attitide-knowledge,approach to any issues arise.i strongly believes that,we are developing new corruption techniques to loot our country.we lost our dignity and culture.first upon,we don't any system to give proper education to right candidate.you can reach anywhere in india ith help of money,political power,using women,using religion.......Nobody knows this funda" getting a porper knowledge is a great boon from god".

we are making a chain system and our first target is to make rohtak 100% literate in 1 year and every student goes to school. our main motto is to choose children from slum area and children are not capable to go to school due to physical and social reasons and specially those financially not capable and migrants and from slum and workers child becouse every child have right to learn and make his/her dream true and then admit to them to the nearest govt. school

continued.. we should have balance in all sector so that education system should not be only with books. To do this first we need to improve the gov schools which run still in 1940 system , i know we have plenty of good private schools but as per our population where 60% people are under poverty can not access to those schools so to bring change we have to think about the 60% people instead of thinking about selective.In India why students fight to go IITs IIMs because they brought a level like

Hi, as per my view we Indian have mentality like to get better life we have to study books,and we brought up with this from our childhood because government is not facilitating enough careers option to other lateral area like sports,social works,entrepreneurship or so many. So we have to first expand our self laterally in education system we have create plenty of opportunities to each field so that a being should not be forced to choose his career against his interest.

We all know that English Speaking youth is the need of the hour !! To teach English to primary students we use nursery rhymes like Ba Ba Black Sheep , or, Humpty Dumpty Sat on the wall, or, Jack and Jill went up the hill !! Can our government please spend some money and develop rhymes based on Indian characters - like Ram, Ganesh and Hanuman - if possible we could think of religion neutral characters so that we do not hurt sentiments of minority communities.
