Several studies have shown that school children do not seem to acquire age appropriate skills in reading, writing and numeracy. There is a need to explore the various approaches to improve teaching–learning at the elementary stage. The objective of this theme is to understand the issues of low learning achievement levels in elementary schooling, assess the system of Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation and suggest ways and methods of improving the learning outcomes of school children which would result in enhancing the quality of elementary education.

अमेरिका सबसे धनी देश है, वहां के स्कूल साल के शुरुआत में बच्चों को किताबें इशू करते हैं और साल के अंत में उनसे जमा करा लेते है ताकि दुसरे बच्चों को उन किताबों को पढने का मौका मिले. भारत गरीब देश है, पर यहाँ हर साल पुराने किताबों को रददी के भाव बेच दिया जाता है और नए किताबों को ख़रीदा जाता है, या यूँ कहें की अभिभावकों को नई किताब खरीदने को विवश किया जाता है .....करोड़ो रुपयों की बर्बादी लाखों पेड़ की कटाई .... फिर पर्यावरण को बचाने की सतरंगी मुहीम फिर करोड़ों रूपये की लुट.......

First work is every government employee & MP,MLA, etc children's go to government school.& teacher training & reargument are IAS. Research should have most imoprten part of school education.

please make a law that elementary education can only be provided in mother tounge because they get a lot of stress and unnessary time use for learnng english , banned english in all india for elementry education except few places or states where english is mother tongue

In education system children don't know why they are studying they memorize the concept and give exams,evaluation is based on theory marks is done not on practicals.all student do the same practical in same way,they don't know the purpose of experiment ,what should be the output or result,they carry the burdon of school bags.they dont know what will happen if they will not study.they learn the things they have not seen,use.school should be not be at long distance

नई शिक्षा नीति में स्कूली शिक्षा में कार्य शिक्षा, नैतिक, व्यावहारिक, मनोविज्ञान, देशभक्ति जैसे विषय तथा चरित्र निर्माण पर बल दिया जाए । व्यावसायिक शिक्षा एवं विश्वविद्यालय पाठ्यक्रम में साहित्य और समाज विज्ञान के विषय सभी स्ट्रीम के लिए अनिवार्य किए जाएँ ताकि डिग्री के साथ जीवन दर्शन भी बच्चे सीखें

Elementary school should teach more with observation outside in nature with play of the daily chores hygiene away from the &book environment milking farming , birds, flowers, sun, moon, daily gadgets cooking cleaning hygiene, spontaneous singing music, dance,laughter .eating visit to temples, mosques , churches gurudawaras , graveyards slaughterhouses in simplicity without showoffs . These should teach that a human being is a spec in the earth and everything that is born dies.

Sir, Navodya Vidyalaya Samiti following what kind of rules for teachers? As per NCTE working hours for teachers 36 hrs (6hours per day) n as per RTE act 2009, 45 hours per week & as per Labour law factory act, 8 hours working day But in *Navodya Teacher serving 24*7. In our india Human Right Commission making rules there is limit for donkey to carries load but no work limit for Navodya teachers & staff. But no action by human right commission.

Think: Our students study more maths more science more concepts than students of USA or Europe, but why they fail to deliver? Why they fail to innovate new products when they become engineer? Why they fail to innovate new theories when they become scientist? Why they fail to solve the country's problem when they become IAS or MP or MLA? Why do they fail even just giving a new idea to solve the problems? Why our students with more knowledge and better memory skills fail to compete with them later

Policy of education in developed country is that to develop creativity in children, to develop thinking power, allow them not to fear from mistakes. This resulted in excellent problem solving skills and innovative product generation. This resulted in better economy, better management of resources and problems in their country. Our aim is to teach them as much as possible in little time and increase their memory power. How good memory power can benefit the country in any way?.
