Several studies have shown that school children do not seem to acquire age appropriate skills in reading, writing and numeracy. There is a need to explore the various approaches to improve teaching–learning at the elementary stage. The objective of this theme is to understand the issues of low learning achievement levels in elementary schooling, assess the system of Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation and suggest ways and methods of improving the learning outcomes of school children which would result in enhancing the quality of elementary education.

After learning how to read and write the focus turns on helping them how to express themselves through verbal means. This also helps them develop important social skills. The reason most western students speak better than us is because it is treated as a key learning outcome in their schools

Learning outcomes are very much age dependent. At primary school writing is too abstract hence in western countries children are taught to express themselves by drawing pictures. Writing is introduced much later and only after they have achieved some proficiency in reading. By then they implicitly understand that language is a more efficient way of expressing themselves than drawing pictures. They are naturally motivated to learn how to write

our education policy will must based on practical not only with reading,writing&getting marks,because many students dont have the field knowledge.students must spends many hours in lab,so the time table is based on it.many colleges and schools dont have laboratory,good construction so pls away the situation across the india.the language system based on hindi,english ,local language of the state.because we are tamilans so many people dont have other language .so dont get central govt job .

BEST POLICY IS LEARNING BY DOING , IN OVERALL INDIA SHOULD TAKE EDUCATION AS INTEGRATED PROGRAMME NOT A POLITICAL AGENDA AFTER INDEPENDANCE TILL DATE IT IS CONSIDER AS A POLITICAL AGENDA

Ensuring learning outcomes effectively, the core of the elementary education must insure that in the Schools have something significant to enrich our children in better ways, which at present is lacking. Unless the children don't finding the meaning in what they are learning, its been distant to capture their interest, sustain their motivation and alleviate their positive energy for a better, effective learning. This requires to let children pursue what actually they want to learn.

now current educational strategy is only for achieving good marks in exam.we need to implement knowledge like sport , yoga ,communication skill, GD, GK, CURRENT AFFAIRS, Aat pimary educational level first. and then identify the every students in which area he is strong. and guide particular student in that way. bcoz in our country 75% student have not clear about his target or in which flow he want to go. personality development is most important with parallel to academic carrer

अंगेजो के बनाये इस शिक्षा के ढांचे में बाहरी परिवर्तनों से कोई खास बदलाव संभव नहीं हो सकेगा. भारत की पुरानी शिक्षा पद्धति पर गहन शोध कर, देश -काल के परिवर्तनों के साथ नए शिरे से लागु करना होगा. आमूल परिवर्तनों के लिए शिक्षा से जुड़े लोगों को समर्पण भाव के साथ इस आन्दोलन से जुड़ना होगा. यह काम अकेली सरकार का नहीं है. सरकार सहयोग करें और शिक्षक नतृत्व लें, बिना किसी स्वार्थ के, प्रजा का मानस गुलामी की परम्परा को तोडने के लिए तत्पर बने तब यह संभव हो सकेगा शिक्षा के माध्यम से समर्थ भारत का निर्माण.
