Several studies have shown that school children do not seem to acquire age appropriate skills in reading, writing and numeracy. There is a need to explore the various approaches to improve teaching–learning at the elementary stage. The objective of this theme is to understand the issues of low learning achievement levels in elementary schooling, assess the system of Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation and suggest ways and methods of improving the learning outcomes of school children which would result in enhancing the quality of elementary education.

We have to take the process of education beyond the 3Rs that is Reading, writing and arithmetic. From the early days of pre-school learning information should not be imposed but evolved in the mind of children. This can be done only by creative teachers in talking sessions instead of teaching sessions. So we have to make our teachers creative by participatory trainings. Without creative teachers education would be meaningless as it happens now.

हम सभी बचपन में स्कूल में नैतिक शिक्षा की पुस्तक पढ़ा करते थे.उसी परंपरा को आगे बढाते हुए "नैतिक शिक्षा" में डिग्री/डिप्लोमा कोर्सेज प्रारंभ किये जाना चाहिए,और बड़ी कक्षाओं में भी इसे एक अनिवार्य विषय की तरह पढ़ाते रहना चाहिए.जीवन मूल्यों को लगातार पढ़ते,जानते और समझते रहने का निश्चय ही मनुष्य के अवचेतन मन पर अच्छा प्रभाव होता है. व्यावसायिकता और प्रतियोगिता के इस माहौल में नैतिक शिक्षा निश्चय ही बेहतर राष्ट्र निर्माण में सहयोगी होगी.

At elementary school level, only simple method of learning would attract the children to attend the school. Best way to transfer the knowledge is in mother tongue and with an additional language.

Elementary education- method of teaching of maths - with the help of coins child will understand numbers in figure and in word plus arithmatical operations

There is a need to have indicators as benchmarks for learning. The process of learning activities can be based on the benchmarks. This will help to understand the level of learners in general and age appropriate children in particular. By knowing their entry levels, the teachers can plan effectively to uplift children with age appropriate admission along with other students of the same class.

Measuring techniques/method for learning outcome should be changed.It should be simply that a student response to its teacher with pleasure mean the student is in learning . It is important that grasping power may be less or more but it is sufficient if student response.

changing needs,changing environment and change in social life have put the onus on teachers to inculcate the good habits and demeanor in the children so that every minute deteriorating moral values come to halt.Time has come government should think and plan to introduce moral education in the school from primary level.As brains at this age are raw and more adaptive to the change.And when these kids will translate themselves into tomorrow youth ,this country will see leaders in every nuke.

First of all the misconceptions related to CCE need to be cleared among the teachers many of whom consider CCE as an additional activity which acc to them mainly consists of evaluation & record keeping .The spirit of CCE is to enhance student learning through timely assessments which inform the teachers the about learning gaps of the student so that he/she can replan her teaching to address the gaps. teachers need to oriented to be mentors / facilitators leading the student to higher learning.

delhi voted for straightforwardness. pl remember it. pl do not meddle with Bihar, or else delhi debacle will recur. pl do whatever is best for people of bihar. take action fast as bihar budget session is due. do not take manjhi into BJP as he is not only incapable but also will repeat the double cross to BJP also.
