Several studies have shown that school children do not seem to acquire age appropriate skills in reading, writing and numeracy. There is a need to explore the various approaches to improve teaching–learning at the elementary stage. The objective of this theme is to understand the issues of low learning achievement levels in elementary schooling, assess the system of Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation and suggest ways and methods of improving the learning outcomes of school children which would result in enhancing the quality of elementary education.

Basic changes are needed in our education system.First revise the primary level syllabus upto 10th. I think the 13 classes from nursery to 10th can be taught in 8 years and rest 4-5 years should be given to students so that their interest & talent can be groomed to a high level. Teachers & counsellers can help them in chossing their interests & when they will study their interests, they will bcome cream & help in nation building. plz dont copy syllabus make it according 2 our needs.

The most essential way to acquire age appropriate skills by the children is the continuous and close interaction between teachers and students where comprehensive evaluation takes place automatically.

Maintaining cleanliness by each and every person is not a hard ting to do. Still people in daily life, peoples are "forced to throw waste" on their way becoz they (we) can't find 'DUSTBINS AT REACHABLE DISTANCES'. Ihave observed many times that Universities,Parks,etc maintain cleanliness as they have dustbins at every corner. If we've Dustbins at every 500 mtrs at every corner of village then Clean India will be succesful. Large scale dustbin manufacturing which may also provide job oppurtunity

Well as far as I remember my school days, all i was taught was to read, memorise and put it exactly in the same words in my exam papers. This did not help me at all and I was branded a student who is not interested in studies and someone with a dark future. Like Aamir Khan says in 3 Idiots, with this padhai nai hogi, kuch sikhne nai milega.... sirf pressure badhega.... If this is changed I am sure our education system has lots to give to future generation than to lose.

शिक्षा हमे न्याय शिखाती है लेकिन यदि शिक्षा की प्राप्ती मे अन्याय हो पांडव एकलव्य की व्यवस्था हो तो वह देश विश्वगुरू कभी नही बन सकता है भिक्षु जरूर बना है और बना रहेगा पश्चिम हमे ऑख दिखाता रहेगा पश्चिम को अस्त करना है तो अब सूरज बनकर भारत को उदय लेना होगा जो शिक्षा से ही संभव है लेकिन इसके लिये एक समान शिक्षा प्रणाली जब पूरे देश मे होगी तभी विश्वगुरू बनने का स्वप्न पूरा होगा

todays our primary education is not able to devlop child mind for inclusive and challanging approach. this two are basic tools for a successful & happy person. challanging approach- in this way person challange every new learning for clear his concept and understand point of view others and finally make self opnion.. inclusive approach-in this person adjest others opnions in his style . so he reduce pressure of others on his easily. and useful every and live a good life..this will be use

Firstly we have decide a firm primary education policy for entire nation, Basic thing on which we have to be very rigid is that the Primary education must be in mother tongue. Children should not be bothered about education. They should love to come schools. The primary education be given in very innovative way.Schools are not to pour knowledge but we have to make children to start thinking themselves. For the knowledge building there is entire life. Let them think...

Lot of people die daily in road accident due to improper knowledge, why till now Govt has not added Traffic rules, how to behave while driving, overtaking, speeding, etc... in School syllabus

What if I say there must be no private schools xcept Govt. through out the India with best quality of Edu seeking for practicality and sports. Today edu system of India is worse. A person remember the things which he see rather than which he read. No school* today focus on practicals. They only focus on state rank and admissions. Even parents are becoming commercial..
