Several studies have shown that school children do not seem to acquire age appropriate skills in reading, writing and numeracy. There is a need to explore the various approaches to improve teaching–learning at the elementary stage. The objective of this theme is to understand the issues of low learning achievement levels in elementary schooling, assess the system of Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation and suggest ways and methods of improving the learning outcomes of school children which would result in enhancing the quality of elementary education.

Time duration of a school must be reduced and students must be encouraged to participate in extra activities. They must be allowed to chose that co-curricular activity like they want to play or spend time learning computers, reading etc. For such activities schools don't have sufficient infrastructure so we must help to establish Free or economical organisations and let them help students learn.

In bcom fy sy ty it should me murge in 2 yers course b cos in bcom knowledge is less and tine is more 3 year , vailue of bcom is veey low but also required 3 year

I believe main problem with our education system is that we try to focus on teaching too many languages to our students at such early age rather than focusing on skill development .we should strictly limit the number of languages taught to two in which English should be must along with other language being students mother tongue. than work on to improve reading and writing skills only for two languages largely by pattern recognition ,story telling to enhance vocabulary and team activities .

in my opinion ,we should make it mandatory for schools to have a regular feedback [once in two week] to the parents on universal template defined by GOI ,regarding the strengths , weakness and relative performance of students ,including development plans for students who are lagging behind.

Please take out quotas from the education system. The teachers that come in using quotas are not efficient at all. Kindly keep qualified teachers. If the teacher is qualified then only he will be able to teach efficiently. Many teachers who are there in the primary sections does not know anything. This happened because they are recruited through quota system and not merit. This has happened in all states including Gujarat

Dear sir, When we studied in school, we were force to study some things which were not at all relevant. We use to study the history of india freedom fight. This was not the true history for freedom fight. All we were studying was sacrifies done by nehru and gandhi family. This history of india was not at all true. 1. Education comes from 'educare' which is identifying and supporting innate talents in children. That's when their own personalities blossom. They grow up and live as 'themselves' and not some other 'idealized' person. 2. Reduce MCQ approach. This quantifies knowledge but it strips students of their ability to communicate precisely and grammatically right. 3. Encourage and reward group work group learning and group sport. Discourage individual achievements as this creates selfish citizens.

URC - here the objective is research facilitation by collecting moderate money for using research testing instruments. Here we can include some central and national facility or create such facility under URC so that researcher and teachers benefited in huge. Put up separate discussion forum or group or invite leaders to get the executable inputs for the government guidelines. Thank you
