Several studies have shown that school children do not seem to acquire age appropriate skills in reading, writing and numeracy. There is a need to explore the various approaches to improve teaching–learning at the elementary stage. The objective of this theme is to understand the issues of low learning achievement levels in elementary schooling, assess the system of Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation and suggest ways and methods of improving the learning outcomes of school children which would result in enhancing the quality of elementary education.

Child's growth mentally and physically, psychologically in elementary schooling should be properly be observed. If child development is influenced by bad parenting, bad friendships, both parents and children need training sessions differently, through videos that are produced by ministry of child welfare to make parents realize and cross examine theirselves, and how to make house environment best for children growth. Few parents dont even know how to make children feel better at home.

Scrapping annual exams in primary schooling.Introduce flexible evaluation system in subjects like maths and languages,making it topic wise evaluation so that no part of the basics remains lagging.Also opportunity to improve on topics if one fails in earlier attempts in the same cycle.Thus providing against pressure of exams and failure and wastage of precious year.

First of all increase the number the teaching staff in single teacher lower primary schools(rural). Forget about d internationalization of higher education. Ensure quality elementary education to all.

From class 1 to 5 courses should include only basic of Language,Maths,science,and behavior science,and Yoga.After these classes from 6 to 8th std. include history, other language,social science,environment science.

Make it compulsory for govt employees and class one officers to admit thier kids in govt schools.... the status and standard of studies and teachers would automatically checked. Same sylabus for the whole nation would bring uniformity in people..wether from cities or villages and will refrain them from costly migration to cities and particular places. Strict pattern and vast courses in teachers trainning and b.ed. colleges will give nation well qualified gurus and good education to children.ty

my suggestion for making uniform Maths and Science eduaction all over india. There are many boards in india like central board, state boards and so on. all are teaching various subjects language, social study, maths, science etc. in my view all boards should have same maths and science books as those are universal subjects. one can have state history and other things differ but not in case of maths and science.

1. Always focus should be on whether the child has developed the skill of speaking/listening/comprehension instead of the rote/by heart learning 2. They should be introduced to singing/music 3. Eaxams should be avoided upto 5th class and assisgnments to be completed in class itself

English should be language1 ,and English must be the medium of instruction..as in India there are so many mother tongue that it becomes difficult when a student goes for higher studies in some other state..there is no common language

विद्यार्थियों में सर्वप्रथम शिष्टता एवं सदाचारिता ही कूट-कूट कर भरनी चाहिये । विद्यार्थियों के नैतिक और चारित्रिक विकास से सम्बन्धित विषय-वस्तुयें भी होनी चाहिये । विद्यार्थियों का समुचित विकास किस प्रकार हो, यह पूरी जिम्मेदारी गुरुजन बन्धुओं पर ही होना चाहिये । सुधारात्मक अनुशासन विद्यार्थियों पर बराबर रहना चाहिये । इसके साथ ही किसी भी पारिवारिक व्यक्ति को गुरुजन बन्धुओं के अनुशासन में दखल नहीं देना चाहिये । अपने पुत्र-पुत्रियों को गुरुजन बन्धुओं के निर्देशन में ही सदा रखना चाहिये ।

अध्ययन-अध्यापन और ज्ञान पर ही समाज का पूरा भविष्य आधारित है। अध्ययन-अध्यापन और ‘ज्ञान’ समाज सुधार और जीवोद्धार तथा सुखी-सम्पन्न समाज हेतु सर्वप्रथम सबसे महत्त्वपूर्ण एवं सभी के लिए ही एक अनिवार्यतः आवश्यक विधान है । विद्यार्थी ही भावी समाज का कर्णधार होता है। गुरुजन बन्धुओं को चाहिए कि सबसे पहले विद्यार्थियों को शिष्टाचार का व्यावहारिक पहलू मजबूत करें ! ‘सत्यं बद्; धर्मं चर! (सत्य बोलें और धर्म पर रहें-चलें !)’ अध्ययन का मूलमन्त्र होना चाहिये ।
