Several studies have shown that school children do not seem to acquire age appropriate skills in reading, writing and numeracy. There is a need to explore the various approaches to improve teaching–learning at the elementary stage. The objective of this theme is to understand the issues of low learning achievement levels in elementary schooling, assess the system of Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation and suggest ways and methods of improving the learning outcomes of school children which would result in enhancing the quality of elementary education.

there should be improvement in our education system in primary level. preference should be given to our basic education such as-:yoga,music,vedic ganit,science moral education. examination policy should also be reconsidered. children are the future becoz the true development of India lay in the use of mother tongue so they should respect it.

according to me the education should me value based. vocational education should be given the structure of education should be based on India's tradition and cultural heritage. preference should be given to our mother tongue.

(1) Teach minimum 4 languages ( mothertongue, English, , hindi & sanskrit) without considering grammar. (2) minimum books & maximum activities.(3) Storytelling by teachers should be compulsory. (4) Teach them important rhymes in mother tongue & Sanskrit slokas which will help to improve memory power. (5) Implementation of yoga & music. (6)Their motto will be " School is my house, Teachers my parents".(7)Organise awareness class for parents too.

1-primary education should be in mother tongue/Hindi. 2-class strength should be 1 to 30. 3- Moral education should be made compulsory up to 12th class. 4-use learning by doing method. 5-exams should be taken twice or thrice in a year. 6-Biographies of great leaders like Vivekananda,Maharana Pratap,Shivaji,Bose, Bhagatsingh should be taught. 7-

क्रमशः...... हेतु शिक्षकों को उचित प्रशिक्षण की आवश्यकता है,सरकार द्वारा उचित शिक्षा व्यवस्था की आवश्यकता है व शिक्षको को अपने प्रशिक्षण को छात्रों पर क्रियान्वित करने की आवश्यकता है।मूल्याङ्कन पद्धति को सुधारने की आवश्यकता जिसमे केवल रटने वाले बालक व रटवाने वाले शिक्षकों को ही पुनर्बलन मिलता है। त्रुटि हेतु क्षमा।

मेरे कहने का मतलब यह नहीं है कि बालक को कविता नहीं बुलवाई जानी चाहिए ।छोटे बालको के उत्कृष्ट अधिगम हेतु पद्य के लिए कविता व गद्य के लिए कहानी ही सर्वोत्तम विधियां हो सकती है।लेकिन कविता एक शिक्षक को उसकी मातृ भाषा में रचित की जानी चाहिए ।जिसका अर्थ बालक जानता हो जिससे भाव की उत्पत्ति हो सके।ये कुछ अंश जो मैंने इसमें लिखे है ये मेरे व्यक्तिगत स्वतंत्र विचार है।अगर किसी को खेद हो तो मैं क्षमा चाहता हूँ व आलोचना को सहर्ष स्वीकार करूँगा।सार रूप मे कहना चाहूंगा की अधिगम के अच्छे परिणाम सुनिश्चित करने

क्रमशः... अर्थ को जनता हो।मान लीजिये कि वह रानी शब्द का अर्थ नहीं जानता तो हमने उसे याद नहीं करवाई अपितु रटवाई है।हमने उसे मनुष्य प्रजाति का नहीं पक्षी प्रजाति का तोता बना दिया।फिर हम उससे बार बार वह कविता बुलवाकर मनोरंजन का साधन बनाते है जिस तरह तोते को?बालक को ऐसा करने के लिए भी प्रोत्साहित करते है।बालक के ऐसा रटकर बोलने से हम सभी खुश होते है जिससे बालक को सकारात्मक अभिप्रेरणा मिलती है?और यही से शुरू होता है उसका रटना जो अंत तक चलता है।क्योंकि उसको अभिप्रेरणा अधिक अंको के रूप में मिलती ह
