Citizen Centric Services/ICT Services more important in Municipal Corporation to make smart corporation first than Chandigarh. MC should think about it giving the services to citizens under centralized ULB portal with mobile application.

Wherever possible,in all the road dividers of four lane roads instead of putting tiles, horticulture dept must consider planting hedges or shrubs to make city more green & pollution free.

Few months back I had sent a detailed note to Adviser-Chandigarh, highlighting some of the quick actions if he could take would have completely transformed the City and today would have retained its prime rating at the national level.
Most unfortunately, no one had time to even look at it and today the City is way far behind, not because of any deterioration, but others have improved. Some of those covering traffic, health, education, sports, culture and fin ser were easy to implement.

I have a small business in chandigarh in sector 17E since 1960. We have been allotted S.C.O.'s on lease by the local administration. Within this span of 55years we have renovated our store 4 times. The crisis we are going through since 40 years is that we are always kept been under tention and worries by the local administration which is difficult to explain here in short. The matter is easily sortable if one wishes to but unfortunately nothing has happened till date. Good Governor required.

First of all the government department workers should help people with their problems. They do not come in time to their offices. Everything should be made online so that it will easy for the people to redress their problems and solve them. If chd wants to become a smart city it is very necessary to do everything online so that people can solve their problems without taking a leave from their job or without leaving their work.

Chandigarh has lot of greenery but is fast depleting. Old trees specially medicinal of Imli, Neem,Arjun, etc are dying due to termites. Most of the trees are more then 20 yrs, UT/MC may hv to take care immediately by treating the termite infested trees. Educate the residents how to take care of trees & plants in their parks.

Chandigarh can become smart city only once the villages in & around chd are smart. Work on adjoining villages should be commenced immediately to make their cleanliness & sanitation on an acceptable level. Sewage & drainage systems to be looked into. Commercial activities should be carefully seen and one which are not allowed within the city limits may hv to moved out. Similarly food products packaged or processed unhygienically may hv to closed. Regular medical camps & edn may hv to done.

There should be something Smart in Smart App,which has been introduced recently by UT. It gives info which is static ie mob nos of MC staff etc.In Smart App the info should be getting changed dynamically and each section must hv space for public review. The data should be smart which is not easily available. Fixed data should be updated periodically and date on which the data has been updated should be mentioned.
