The stage 2 of the Smart City competition is very crucial as each city’s Smart City Proposal (SCP) is supposed to contain the model chosen, whether retrofitting or redevelopment or greenfield development or a mix thereof, and additionally include Pan-City dimension with Smart Solutions. The Smart City Proposal (SCP) will also outline the consultations held with the city residents and other stakeholders. Also, a vision for the Smart City has to be prepared, and this vision should emerge from the needs, aspirations and wishes of the local people to make their city offering more to live better life.

The biggest driver of the Smart City is the smart citizen. Citizen involvement in Smart Cities is elevated. So, the Smart City Proposal will be Citizen Centric, designated after consultations with residents of the city and through active participation of various groups such as Residents Welfare Associations (RWAs), Tax Payers Associations (TPAs), Senior Citizens and Slum Dwellers Associations (SDAs).

During consultations, various issues such as areas of utmost concern, needs and priorities of citizens and different groups/associations will be identified and people centric solutions will be evolved.

Chandigarh Administration hereby invites the citizens of Chandigarh to share their views on ‘How to make Chandigarh a Smart City’. The campaign aims to increase public participation in Chandigarh Administration’s effort to garner support for the city’s quest for a Smart City tag.

The residents of Chandigarh can also post, share their ideas, views and opinions on ‘Smart Chandigarh’- the official mobile app of U.T., Administration.

hi,today I will suggest to set up of any one govt. office equipped with highly modern technology with futuristic approach. (as a pilot project) which will be used by educated and smart citizen.(means by any one) -for an example -this will set a benchmark of future city. -may be this is a vague idea but we will be having a glimpse of modern and future technology .

- make police more people friendly and people loving . - we can start smart policing and giving rewards to police from diff. public views .based on public feedback. on monthly basis this will boost the moral and give competency in the police . -give direct right to make people verdict on govt. policies by making people participation on random basis from all walks of life of people.

create public kiosks to provide fast foods and snacks to stop adulteration start providing food stuff from hotel managment govt.college may from citco loss will be covered or may be from burail jail the income and innovation will grow. -then there will be one mother kitchen from where only good authentic,hygienic and regulated food will come out and no need to raids the unauthorised food counters . -that will stop corruption as well as making of bad food.

few suggestion from my point of view. -make education and sports facilities affordable and approachable to all. -give more attention for cleanliness on roads and public toilets particularly. -make public dealing office more transparent and people friendly. -cultural and folk arts of different castes should perform in general public level to create interest of young generation.

on social basis local govt should play important role to guide people that in this city we all are having and sharing equal rights not on biased basis.generally we see in front of no parking only govt official cars are parked i feel cheated many times are they not capable enough to walk few steps.Mr Vijay Dev after so many years gives a noticeable and practical approach for the regenerating the faith on the working of government.

because, we have to obey so called saab instruction of misleading things if we are not approaching the concern person with right approach.so in my first suggestion please start educating people if they want to be. To run their business,social and health life smoothly.

hello, I would like to share my views as per my personal experience that what chandigarh as a smart city look like there are three -four parameter i am looking on it like governance ,society,ambience etc. first of all estate office,sales and income tax office and major public dealing office should educate the people on time to time basis that what are the roles and what rules to be followed while dealing with these office this will stop menace and corruptio

approximate 6000+ patients are visiting PGI OPD's in a day , second after AIMS delhi , we need to increase the strength , chandigarh local contribution is hardly 20% , most of the patients are coming from Punjab/Haryana & Himachal , ring road is required to avoid traffic jams , it is very difficult to reach PGI from tribune side

common entry pass for vehicle parking in all parking area across the city , yearly basis card for residents of chandigarh , admin will get advance payment and people don't have to wait in queue , time & cost saving
