I live in the city beautiful and am proud of it. It is THE BEST place to live in India
although there are good institutions for study but still we need some good quality education institutes in our city which are up to date with the industry requirements
I am in support of Make in India Campaign but Chandigarh should concentrate on Tourism and IT
as they will not pollute our City Beautiful

The city doesnt have to be something we need to conserve because of its history but its heritage can be given higher importance by giving appropriate modern day flexible functions.
We need to review the old plans critically and see which aspects were ignored and then decide what to do for the future.
The original ideas for chandigarh where ahead of its time. WE need to seek inspiration from that.

Completing the capitol complex with the museum of knowledge would get people of all diversity involved in the functioning of the city.
Chandigarh also works as the capital of two states but was oonly planned for one.
So urban planning is required to cope up with these pressures.
The periphery of chandigarhs developement is vital for the future of the main city designed by Le Corbusier.

the key is to first understand the architectural legacy that the city has for the rest of the world. India is tryin to get the city in the world heritage list. So anything we do has to be keeping in mind the architectural history and why dis city was built in the first plce, the vision that defines chandigarh and makes it stand out from all the cities of our country.
First of all we should complete the capitol complex with the museum of knowledge.
This would bring larger people participation

Dear Sir
Smart city in itself seems very wide concept. Smart in governance or smart in utilities. Both are interlinked though. Unless we have smart governance smart city is a distant dream. for example consider people use ground water for all purposes but water is required by variety of things. We can reuse the waste water by treating it and supplying it back through tanks & pumping stations for personal & commercial uses.Erecting such requires honest governance and tremendous efforts. in next.

as chandigarh is always a beautiful city from earlier. but we need to make it more efficient city. As we here govt. is going to make 2 smart cities in Chandigarh, this is good idea to make the beautiful city into a smart city . as we have a IT park in the chandigarh that is a helpful im making chandigarh. we have to improve the public safety services in the city and then improve the network services and making people more efficient to technology.

Focusing on the public utilities like > ROADS, Parks, Govt. Offices, Markets etc is important. Make them clean and efficient in operation. Keep the process simple and transparent. Learn from nations who have already achieved this.
Develop a culture of the CITY. Don't let it get lost in transition.
