The stage 2 of the Smart City competition is very crucial as each city’s Smart City Proposal (SCP) is supposed to contain the model chosen, whether retrofitting or redevelopment or greenfield development or a mix thereof, and additionally include Pan-City dimension with Smart Solutions. The Smart City Proposal (SCP) will also outline the consultations held with the city residents and other stakeholders. Also, a vision for the Smart City has to be prepared, and this vision should emerge from the needs, aspirations and wishes of the local people to make their city offering more to live better life.

The biggest driver of the Smart City is the smart citizen. Citizen involvement in Smart Cities is elevated. So, the Smart City Proposal will be Citizen Centric, designated after consultations with residents of the city and through active participation of various groups such as Residents Welfare Associations (RWAs), Tax Payers Associations (TPAs), Senior Citizens and Slum Dwellers Associations (SDAs).

During consultations, various issues such as areas of utmost concern, needs and priorities of citizens and different groups/associations will be identified and people centric solutions will be evolved.

Chandigarh Administration hereby invites the citizens of Chandigarh to share their views on ‘How to make Chandigarh a Smart City’. The campaign aims to increase public participation in Chandigarh Administration’s effort to garner support for the city’s quest for a Smart City tag.

The residents of Chandigarh can also post, share their ideas, views and opinions on ‘Smart Chandigarh’- the official mobile app of U.T., Administration.

1.Haphazard parking of cars on road should be checked as they block the traffic & individuals commuters suffer due to this. 2. Proper arrangement needs to arranged for VIP movement so that commuters don't suffer through timely communication b/w authorities. 3.Parking system still needs improvement. CCTV's cameras must be involved. 4.More facilities for senior citizens and disabled persons like construction of Ramps.

I agree with ROHIT. People organize CHABEEL and various functions but the condition becomes pathetic after that. The grounds take several days to get cleaned because of the attitude of people. If you are littering your city then how you can you correct others. So attitude need to b changed. People should b given time frame after which penlties must be imposed

The health conditions in government hospitals is very poor and that s why people in Chandigarh moved towards private hospitals even government should start some semi government type hospitals as large number of papoulation ready to pay more if facilities provide at nominal rates as many avoid due to unhygienic facility as poor people are also sharing same wards and there is a risk of transmission of infection and staff is not friendly so I request make a model of health care facilities

it is common to see private cars parked along the roads in the living ares thus narrowing the available space for safe movement of cars/pedestrians. like in western countries such persons shud be made to pay heavily for parking cars on the roadsides

every summer we have "chabeel " stalls creating traffic chaos and leaving the whole place littered with plastic glasses/plates. i am sure people of smart city do not do these things. else they need to be penalised heavily
