The mandate of the Ministry of Culture is to preserve, promote, explore and share India’s culture and heritage along with ethos and values for the benefit of mankind. For achieving this Mission, the Ministry undertakes the following activities:

• Maintenance and conservation of heritage, historic sites and ancient monuments
• Administration of libraries
• Promotion of literary, visual and performing arts
• Observation of centenaries and anniversaries of important national personalities and events
• Promotion of institutions and organizations of Buddhist and Tibetan studies
• Promotion of institutional and individual non-official initiatives in the fields of art and culture
• Entering into cultural agreements with foreign countries

The functional spectrum of the Ministry ranges from creating cultural awareness from the grass root level to the international cultural exchange level. Details about several Schemes which are administered by Ministry of Culture for providing financial assistance for promoting cultural activities are available on the Ministry’s website (http://indiaculture.nic.in/).

Also, various organizations under the Ministry of Culture organize cultural programs and events from time to time.

The Ministry has decided to invite suggestions from the public regarding innovative ideas for effective use of Media in promoting Indian Culture and Heritage.

It is requested that the individual suggestions may be limited to about 200 words.

To promote Indian culture and heritage..I think education sector can play key role,and has a potential to promote culture a large scale with Neighboring countries like srilanka,Afghanistan,Bangladesh,(saarc) India should help to develop one iit,iim institute in each country.with 50% quota to that country students,another 50%(Indian student) will be ambassador of India to that country.. this can change our relation with Neighbor and can strengthening our relations actually.

My suggestion to central gov. 1) Make one rule that more than two children's who will have in future stop the subsidiaries, gas cylinders, bpl card (considering exceptional case like handicapt or who staying forest.whoever having more than two children up to now considering in future) 2) who ever having more than one girl give tax excumption in income tax like as 10000rupees.

Padmashree, Anjolie Ela Menon talked about shOObh Arts and stressed on creativity. She also wished to see more of creative works next year and advised participants to not to paint Ganga posters as it is not a poster making contest. She reiterated to paint Beauty of Ganga. shOObh Arts competition-2016, theme गंगा | GANGA is painting competition for school children. There is an open category too. Anjolie also invited all to join and work to clean the great river that defines us all and restore it

In this connection, Shovana Narayan shared beauty of Ganga using Natya mudras. She invited school children to come forward and share beauty of Ganga in different dance forms. She also shared details of shOObh Natya, the project is to search real talent & latent qualities in young individuals, who will religiously carry forward the Indian traditions in future.

Art & Education joined in to unveil shOObh theme of the year 2016 - गंगा | GANGA. “shOObh aim is to share & spread Beauty of Ganga using different art forms. shOObh theme of the year 2016 is गंगा | GANGA ”, says Bharat Gauba, shOObh Group. shOObh has launched three projects under the theme गंगा | GANGA; shOObh Arts Competition, shOObh Photography Contest & shOObh NATYA. All projects are divided into 3 verticals School, Open School & Special School.

Media has to stop calling the Terrorist organizations like Islamic State in the same name itself.India has to ban this.Because this can damage religious harmony in India.Islamic State has no connection with Islam.Media should not be a follower of some perverted people by calling the same name who created that terrorist organization.This can sideline Muslims from mainstream.So India has to join with other nations to name this kind of organizations by using an entirely different word from Islam.

Dear NarendraModi sir, All the private media channels should give the advertises on the our national festivals like advertisement of Indian Freedom struggle at the time of Aug 15 and advertisement of Indian Constitution at the time of Republic day every year.So youths can come to know about how our freedom fighters struggled to get the freedom, India's value,culture,heritage and they will realize their fundamental duties which they vow to their country.
